I do have one of those signed books. I drove 5 1/2 hours to the KISS convention outside of Pittsburgh, in 1995. Still the best live band I've ever seen. Been a fan since 1974. Great job guys.

KISS!!!.... the classic introduction in every concert, since 1975, a speech I hard for the very first time opening the multi-platinum "Alive!", a double record set album, still today in my vinyl record collection. And they still are, the hottest 46 years later and counting, thanks for a million younger people joining to a Kiss Army world wide fans.

Growing up with my first KISS album purchased when I was in 3rd grade (Rock & Roll Over), I'm blown away when I find out that new rock/metal bands are not dialed into their rock/metal heritage of Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Kiss... Love that you guys are educating yourselves. These are literally your heritage.

I am 22 years old and I just saw KISS for the first time and obviously the last time caus ei was there at madison square garden on december 2nd and we were on top and I don't wanna cry but paul was saying like hey I wanna make an announcement to all the people up top we can heat ya we can feel ya we can se ya and all this stuff and I have never felt so acknowledged and loved and honored and important in a historic or as we all call it kisstory and yeah and our side of the stage was where gene simmons side of the stage and I couldn't believe it when him and tommy went on the machine that takes you up and towards the audience I remember being so excited as I record on my phone that gene who is the demon from kiss was saying hi and looking at everybody and waving a little bit and I was waving so much and so hard that I really tried to make my arm as top as possible and during rock and roll all nite I was so happy. This was technically my second concert experience in general. My first concert was 3 or months before December was September 8th in Pennsylvania for the freaks on parade tour for alice cooper and rob zombie and I wanted to see those 2 since I was 11 years old and 11 years later I finally did I cried during schools out I was overcome with emotions but anyways yeah and with kiss I wanted to see them so bad as well ever since I was a kid a teenager and yeah my dreams finally came true I was there for this kisstory moment. And as me and one of my older sister were walking towards madison square garden some people on the streets and who are coming close to us wlor just turned and noticed us but especially me they were smiling and said wow great costume or hey it's kiss or soemthing about we look great or are you going to the concert etc and I was so happy about it I was being complimented and acknowledged as well so I thought I'd share a little bit of a story with u guys

to set the record straight. this is the 6th line up. gene and paul has been there all the time as u said. the drummer in this clip is the cat man today eric singer the original cat man was peter criss. The guitarist here is bruce kulick. He was with kiss for about 10 years without make up. spaceman today isnt ace frehley the original but it is Tommy Thayer. they had a short reunion in the mid 90s with all 4 original members.

These tunes are from one extreme to another era wise. Comin Home is from Hotter than Hell - their 2nd LP in 1974. Domino was released in 1992. This was also when the Conan O'Brien Show was at his best. I believe this is when Max Weinberg, the drummer for Bruce Springsteen, drummed on this show.

Yes I'm a fan an have been since the 70s. Kiss really make us fans feel a part of them. I was in jail once as a 18 year old feeling down , lost then the kiss. Crazy nights video aired for the 1st time. The lyrics picked me up . Yup yup kiss is awsome

I have both books KISSTORY l and KISSTORY lol. The first was signed by all four original band members (Paul, Gene, Ace and Peter).

This is was around the time that MTV did their Unplugged series, where they had a couple of big named rock bands do a mini-concert sans electric guitars. I think a part of it was just to prove that they weren't using any kind of techniques to improve their sound or lyrics.

Better versions are on the 1995 unplugged (I think it's the MTV) performance, this was good though. But give the 95 unplugged performance a listen. It's awesome

About what they say on that guy buried in a Kiss T-Shirt. Dimebag Darrell from Pantera was buried in a Kiss casket.

This was a lot of fun. As a kid who grew up with kiss in the late 70s they were like superheroes to me I didn't really see them as musicians necessarily more like they provided the soundtrack to their comic books at cetera. Bear in mind I was very very young. But they were perfect for a kid who loved superheroes and Dungeons & Dragons and fantasy novels and all that great ship that has now become what people call nerd culture... But at the time it was just cool shit that I loved. So kiss was the perfect band really... The only band of their kind at the time. I lost track with them in the 80s my taste got a lot heavier because thrash and death metal and whatnot were starting to come along as I got older that became the music that I was into but getting to come back to the non makeup hero with them and then getting to see them on the reunions tour was so much fun. Anyway, right there with you guys in terms of just how badass they managed to make it look sitting on the stool with an acoustic guitar.. Definitely a one-of-a-kind band.
