Very nice job mate, when I installed my son's kitchen a couple of years ago installed everything, except for the work-top, got a man in for that 😁 Have done some in the past but would rather leave it to a joiner.

dont screw in void space on the back of the unit, after worktop gona be done, you never have acces to that screw any more. I case of need take out this unit in the future, you gonna get into trubles

Where the draw pack was, why did you send the panels to the floor? If you cut them the same size of the unit, the plinth would continue through.

Good demo mate, just a question how do these kitchens compare on price to howdens kitchens, Howdens seem very expensive now days. Thanks

Nice job, wouldn't normally bother with a mason's mitre on a square edge worktop though, just removed the edging and bolt up. Easier to edge up the other end too before it's all bolted 👍👍

Do you remove the edging on both worktops where they join each other or just on one?

Tidy....What would be the best Dewalt table saw for my lad, as he's just finished his apprenticeship in Kitchen fitting. Out of these 3 choices, which would be the best for him. the 10 inch DWE7492 on the heavy duty roller trolley, the 8inch DWE7485 or the DCS7485T2 54v XR cordless. If the 8inch, would you choose ally trolley or the simple scissor stand. If someone was buying it for you....which would you choose.

Good job although the hob panels would finish at bottom of unit not floor so just one plinth

Alittle advice if you can spare please... My kitchen has loads of small kick plate sectionsbut i would want 1 continues length of kick plate but for this to happen i would need to remove the small sections that beglong to each base unit i dont know what there called but can they be trimmed or cut out??
@leethistlethwaite4381
@leethistlethwaite4381 2 жыл бұрын
I start with the width of the plinth normally 165 mm then add 10-15 mm on that and thats my measurement for the feet on base units,

Hi mate. I’m looking at re trading as a kitchen fitter in a few years. Looking at doing a short course soon, then working for someone until I’m good enough to go alone. Do you advise it as a career?

I`m just doing my daughters kitchen, its gone a bit further than i hoped unfortunately, so I`m back to bare brick. I`m going to dot and dab the plasterboard, I`m going to use a full joint of dot behind where the wall units attach to the wall. Will the fixings hold securely through the dried dots. Thank you.
@GreenHawkConstructionltd

Yes they will do the issue is where you have a void the plaster will crush but there are fixings that take care of that 👍

@@GreenHawkConstructionltd Thanks mate , I`m going to try and get it full with adhesive just in the places where the wall units attach 👍

Great video, but... Around 4 minutes in, you suggest hiding screws bij screening them in the back and behind drawer rails...the problem i often got is, if the're even need to be swapped by new cabinets, it wil be a real pain to get one out without a lot of damage. In my opinion it is always better to leave screws in plain sight, but nicly fitted.

the one thing i don't get is the amount of joinery to join two worktops together, seems really over the top to me. Most worktops are really heavy and surely all you would do is glue the ends together and use some angle brackets to fix them to the cupboards underneath

Most important thing with fitting kitchens is getting every unit level and square, even one out a mill or 2 has a knock on effect that is a nightmare
