Now that I rewatched this, I can finally understand why Kite doesn't say anything about the roll when he got "3" in this fight, I mean usually he will comment on how bad the roll is. I think it's connected to "3"'s special ability.

It is said that his ability is actually not that random after all. Theory that the roulette wheel draws the best number for the situation, because it is the nen that chooses it. Remember that the firearm and the scythe were good choices for the previous fights.

The manga did well explaining how they were detected by Pitou. Kite was too curious to see such a ridiculous EN enshrouding the Nest so went to touch it only to immediately realize how sinister and powerful it was

@@bumpotato1922 To be fair , it all depends on the power of the user. Some powers are incredibly OP against some and extremely weak. Pitou's raw power is incredibly strong but i don't know if she could take a big bang impact from Uvogin while Uvogin would be probably powerless against the 2 royal guards. The King was incredibly strong and his power to devour more power was op but he can still be countered . Also There are some maniacs nen users in that freaking boat where the manga is. I don't even know how you could fight against those

@@bumpotato1922yes they did bc the whole thing was set up. the queen even confirmed that she has traces of human blood in her, she didn’t come from the dark continent bc the ants on the dark continent …..are literal ants. they haven’t evolved yet, which means she was an experiment done by someone & that person caused the chimera ant. the 2 likely candidates are Pariston & Netero’s son.

the fact that killua said illumi aura was 1 million times more scary then wing,and after he says pitou has the worst aura he ever, felt speaks volumes of her absurd amount of nen.

It looks like Pitou can extend its en by 1.24 miles. Something totally absurd. Pitou was an anomaly. Specialist with an absurd en. The number 3 drawn by the kite was good, as it enabled its "reincarnation". There's a theory that Kite's skill isn't that random. It seems that the roulette wheel draws the best number for the situation. And if we remember the previous fights it seems to be true.

Yeah, conjuring a gun isn't all that powerful on its own, compared to what other people can conjure. So it would make sense that the real power lies within the flexibility of having different items for different situations where some of them are pretty damn powerful.

kite was incredibly strong as well, we see how the entire land is destroyed and pitou had some scratches, despites kite was really hurt and exausted for using his nen the entire night he gave a good battle, i also like his mind strenght, he was always calmed down and focused considering if number 3 was his reincarnation weapon he fought knowing he'd gonna die. i want to see how his new power is.

poor Kite... 😢 i think his instinct at the moment Pitou came for him was just : "alright as long as the kids can escape, that's good enough for me. ".... he was calm because he accepted defeat and death. but as long as the kids survive that's a Win for him.

Really like Morel and Knov. They certainly are strong and capable hunters. The Chimera Ants were an anomaly to the world of nen. On taste of the dark continent mankind was indeed not ready for. They weren't wrong. In their lives they came across strong opponents, dangerous enough but still in a reasonable scope. The ants surpassed that. Just imagine the queen would have given birth to 100 meruems. The world of hxh and nens truly is a vast and frightening thing. Netero himself knew that

Most of the time, the roulette run randomly, but when Kite fight Pitou, the roulette chooses the number, the clown said that number 3 is the strongest one. And it even have secret ability when Kite's dead.

Man, I love your work, but c'mon!!! You cut one of the most important parts of this chapter, where Gon says that Kite is alive and Killua says in his mind that Gon is the light and that sometimes he has to look the other way because it shines too much, it's a super cute scene that It also prepares the ground for the plot twist of Kite's death

technically nen aura does matter since the strength of Ten is greatly affected by how much aura the user has. as we can see in Netero vs Meruem fight.

Morel doesn't understand a thing about what's happening; it's so hilarious. Pitou isn't just some random hunter with weird abilities that can be countered; they are an existence far more superior than that. It's not about Nen strategy anymore. If you want to beat them, you need to give up on your individuality (or all your potential ;)). Bro, humans are just weak alone. (It's my boy Netero who said it, lmao)

I also love Knov telling Killua that he probably overestimated Pitou's strength, that Pitou's aura was just so different from a human's that it was disorienting for Killua, and then when Knov sees Pitou's aura in person he has a full emotional breakdown

@mikelonduckguey well it was pouf's aura which was said to be the most sinister among the royal guards plus knov was using Zetsu due to which he was directly hit by the aura while having no defense. It's similar to non nen users getting hit by it. Remember Gon and Killua couldn't even move against Hisoka😂. Plus knov is too broken plus with god accomplice he can literally one shot meruem so he needed to be removed from the fight.

Netero also probably took Killua much more seriously, given he knew Killua was a trained Zoldyck assassin who knew his way around a battle.

@@thecrazycapmaster I think it's also bc he fought Killua before (during the hunter exam) and followed his progress after (Killua passing the hunter exam easily a few weeks before this encounter): Killua gave up the fight when realized that Netero was way stronger than him but he was pissed not scared and distraught like he's now, so it's a good indication for Netero that the enemy is really strong, stronger/scarier than him

@@CR-hj2hk It wasn't, Netero knew he would die, he just wanted to go have fun as the whole election arc suggests. He knew he was outclassed from the beginning, he himself stated that even Pitou was stronger than him ( Nen Wise). When he met the king for the first time both Zeno and Netero would've died in a second, that's why they act surprised when he steps between them, they knew they could ve died there and it was a show of both superiority and mercy from Meruem's part. From the beginning, Netero knew that only the rose would win against Meruem, he just wanted to see how good he could do at his age against a being that powerful. Dialogues that support this: Netero- At my age I will be the challanger ( As he smiles) Meruem - From the beginning you had me on checkmate (As the rose goes off). If you think Netero was so naive as to think he would win against Meruem, then you are playing him down as a hunter and fumbling his last act as a character: Having fun against impossible odds.

I think Knov and especially Morel were full of crap. Killua may have been a new hunter but they don't know him. They don't know what he's experienced in his life. They really don't know their enemy. They'll both find out though. Knov feels Pitou's nen for like a minute and appears to age 10-20 years from fear so...

@@kierabelo2157 I didn't put spoilers because the ant arc has been complete for over 9 years now. I know he was in Zetsu because he was sneaking in to lay out his portal openings. Even so, after that scene he was still shook. I still say it was due to fear not just Zetsu. I say that because when the King was talking about eating the wolf ant guy he seemed to rapidly age also, and he had no reason to be in Zetsu.

But also Pitou's aura and Pouf's aura are very different ...when Pitou's En came back when they were facing Youpi at the beginning of the palace invasion, Morel and the others were just stunned for a short moment, so Pitou's aura is powerful (I would say it's very aggressive since it likes to fight) but Pouf's aura seem to be of a different nature, more sinister, malicious, evil... just watching it Knov knew that Pouf would torture him, that it would be worst than death...and yes he was in zetsu state so it made it worse (the only person who was probably touched by Pouf's aura was Palm and she tried to commit suicide for the same reason)

@@darkshogun5887 well both are related: the fear was greater bc he didn't have nen to protect himself against Pouf's aura...Wolfin faced Meruem who was way stronger then Pouf and actually even got Pouf's cells/DNA/aura/abilities so no wonder it had similar effects

@@61Gowi. Ging, Silva cannot beat Pitou. no way in hell. Maha, Don, Zeno - maybe. don't know about Beyond. Beyond cannot be stronger than Netero. and Netero for sure is not as durable as Pitou. Gon obliterated her because he's also a creature from the Dark Continent like Nanika.
