this is a bit of a weird comment so bear with me- i've lived in pittsburgh my whole life and had only been to the parade once. my friends and i decided to go inside this year, which was probably my best decision of the summer. everyone there brightened up every room and space they entered, including the downtown area. my friends and i often joke that pittsburgh is very depressing, so you guys have no idea how it felt to have happiness and love coming from every direction in an otherwise grim place. i dont know much about furries but from what i observed at the convention, you are all the exact type of people we need more of in this world. i was very shy and often too scared to ask for pictures, but my friends and i were raving over the insane amount of talent we saw everywhere we turned. i know people can be unkind and unsupportive of you and your life, but your passion and love for this is what makes you such kind hearted, caring people. no matter what anyone here says, you ALWAYS have a home in pittsburgh. i hope you had a great time and thanks for giving this city the positivity it very much needs!

@@S0DDAI’m not 100% certain of the origin myself, but I know it involves art of a cheese grater being used incorrectly. Sort of a square peg in a round hole situation, to avoid graphic details.

This was my first time being at Anthrocon for multiple days, (Friday and earlier Saturday), and my first time fursuiting. I was kinda off to the side and nervous but I ran into a lot of these beans and they were so nice!! I had so much fun and I want to fursuit more in the future, the amount of positive vibes I saw at AC was so cool to me!

Their mostly hated on for kinda stupid reasons, the people who make disgusting art of them, the toxic ones, or just because people don't think it's normal. Furries aren't necessarily a bad thing. Just don't ever be like the bad furries.
