not if you have to wake up about five in the morning to over 6 indoor cats plus a good dozen outside meowing its not. that's just the morning feeding. (and yes they are all fixed). plus that type of meowing is very distressing given that's their 'very hungery' voices.

***** the ones outside are the only strays and we are working on socializing them before taking them to the Greenwood humane society. i and my mother are active volunteers. so far we'd managed to socialize nearly a dozen of the cats around where we are and had got them turned in and in new homes. (we are working on spay and release as well as we foster). the cats inside however are adoptees that can't be taken to the shelter because of medical problems or other things. yes all cats shed so its normal to have to vacuum twice a day and trim nails. vet visits are a heavy toll though. (only trimmed to the meat area but not so far it makes them bleed.) not all cats claw on furniture though. with 8 cats at a time we never really had furniture problems and sense our oldest two pass, one at about 14 years and the other 15 years, our furniture gets away with no scratches. people that have this problem needs to figure out why their cat is doing it (trim claws back to help them because they can curl over and dig into their feet, make sure there is not one obsessively spraying, make sure the cats aren't feeling threatened and have more than a few climbing toys and toys they can try and claw on.) the only time problems like that happen is if you're lacking something and cats are creatures that need high maintenance things to keep them out of trouble, or a few cardboard boxes they can chew on. lol normally cats are pack animals and you can get up to 8 without much problem but i'd not go over 6 depending on your house size because they can get territorial and all problems must be handled fast so they don't get a habit of it. territory issues are why most people have problems with cats get the problems they have and most don't set up a communications thing to be able to tell what a cat is bothered by. normally they are no problem though you have to wear them out before they wear you out. but don't worry we are working on the strays and the ones inside have to be worked and cared for. my family is a strong believer in spay and neuter, the world has enough cats and what's outside is one too many to have to worry about having kittens. though people are stupid and really don't care for the animals they get around here and wonder why they have problems with strays when they throw their cats out when they move out of the area. the shelter are their only chance if they wish to live past 2 years old. but our shelter is good about keeping down putting cats and dogs to sleep. they really will not do it unless the animal has no choice. i'm just glad they worked on a new foster system as well spay and release system though. spay and release has been postponed for when the tem. is above freezing. but yes that noise they make in the morning does wear on a person. i know what that noise means even in my sleep, if you can sleep past it. lol

Here's a nice story about this video and my cats. Back in 2014 I adopted a pregnant stray cat and I kept one of the kittens. At some point I played this video and found out the kitten would stop whatever he was doing and run purring to find his moma and nurse. We found this very funny so we kept playing the video every once in a while,and my cat kept doing the same and trying to nurse even when he was already 2 years old. Eventually we used the video just to have him come to us or when he was being naughty since he would just stop,start purring and run to find his mom. One day when my husband opened the door my cat had seen a stray cat through the window and he just fleed out. It was night already and he had been looking for him and calling him with no luck for almost an hour before I arrived. I inmediately thought of the video and went outside walking around playing it at full blast on my phone. In just a few minutes I saw my cat come back running, thanks to the video he found his way back. He had a scratch on his face, had been in a fight and was probably scared and hiding. My cat is now 9 years old, I still play this video for him,sadly his mom passed away in 2021 but he will still run to us purring and kneading as soon as I play it. So thank you so much, this video brings so much joy to my cat.

I was playing this video around my cat. She was wondering where the meowing sound was coming from, then I showed her the video. She was still kind of confused, but that's another thing we love about are kitties! :D
