@ArjanSnuk concent isn't really like Eluveitie. Eluveitie's concept is to use a number of folk musicians. All of the folk sounds you hear basically come from the synth keyboard. But yes, This band is awesome

well don't think they actually rule at all but they have a couple of very good songs which they had the good taste of making a video to ;)

@Reinkaos819 If you like this vid, check out the vid The Apex Doctrine by System Divide. The brutal sound of Aborted (with their lead singer included) with female vocals mixed in among soft breakdowns and thundering blast-beats...they're an amazing group. I'd also recommend their songs Vagaries of Perception and Echoes. Trust me, they make Kivimetsan Druidi seem a little tame (in my opinion, at least)

Kivimetsan Druidi...I wouldn't camm em a replacement for Nightwish. Excellent sound and such, there's no denying that. However...the only way a group could ever qualify as a Nightwish replacement is if they have the immortal Tarja Turunen herself doing the vocals. Tarja's sound is one of a kind. Watch the video for the End Of An Era performance of the Ghost Love Score. Just about every person in that place is crying. Hell, I was too, to be honest, and I was just watching the damn vid. :)

This is just a casual exchange of opinions between two Metalheads, so I'll be open: The new Nightwish is an atrocity. Annette simply can't achieve Tarja's level of greatness. However, comparing Old Era Nightwish to Epica...Old Era Nightwish would have me every time. Tarja's simply a powerful vocalist, and the Orchestral/Symphonic aspect just makes it more alluring to me. Epica IS great though.

Y'know, not all metal is headbanging, Cryptopsy-style thrashing. There are some absolutely BEAUTIFUL Metal songs out there. I can name five right off the top of my head: Ghost Love Score by Nightwish, The Ghost Woman And The Hunter by Lacuna Coil, Tears by Dawn Of Destiny, Broken Angel by Godyva, and Whispers by UnSun. A true Metalhead does not discriminate, but enjoys music from just about every branch of Metal, and there's no exception here. This is a beautifully done song, by a talented band.

i completely understand what you're saying about slipknot and korn, however korn is more complex with their repetitive riffs than slipknot, a good example would be falling away from me. not really that complex but it's more creative than over half the things that slipknot do.
