TRUE! As a Doom-and-Quake-LOVER i say: YES MartyStraton has to be FIRED! Or excuse in public and do THERAPY he should NEVER be able to treat honest hard WORKERS like this!! PS: I say this as a Survivor of Bullying and Software-Engineer and DevOps. I wanna fight for people like Mick Gordon!! I stand with him

Just two tips for people who have trouble with windows update like Mick did. First, if you expect to have a big workload, pause the update for a week or more so that you can manually update when you have time. If windows is still eating up your bandwidth, it may be the windows store automatically updating crap in the background. Go into the windows store and change the settings to manual updates to stop it from eating your bandwidth.

@Euph Maybe he meant to say use Linux, and tbf, he is right. Linux is superior, it's just too bad that many softwares and files are not supported and require some kind of emulation, otherwise Linux (Maybe Fedora or one of the custom ones) would be the top OS.

"seagul managers" holy shit i've seen my fair share of those during my time and now i have a name for it ... thank you Mick, not only do you provide us with some of the most epic scores but you're also a pleasure to listen to, thanks for your contributions i think you should work in anime as well i believe a lot of titles could benefit from your approach.

Good clip, this is what we need. A nice conversational delivery of the topic to supplement that letter. Don't want to influence anyone seeking Mick's services but, judging from this and the discussion towards the end of the interview, it's fair to say he'd appreciate working with more musicians. Funny thing is he doesn't reference those projects on his website, though! It's all games. I don't think I've heard him talk about playing games, but it seems like he did in the 90's and I'd assume he at least likes the challenge of getting responsive, immersive music in games and can negotiate a little extra with that skill set. However, it's kind of sad hearing things like 'Yeah, Rip and Tear was turned down and almost didn't make it into the game except for the fact that they needed music for a last-minute play space and I felt like I should suggest it again.' Takes patience and resolve to accept that whether an asset is used in game can be decided less on the quality and fit of the contribution, and more on the mood or motives of whoever is doing the approving.

ID Software is managed by the most unsuitable person possible. The Bethesda registration on Doom Eternal on a newly bought Xbox copy was an unprecented move. Iwss shocked and the game still collects dust. I should have known something wrong is in management.

@@Wobbothe3rd This is most likely the case because youtube has been experiencing a lot of bot issues as of late where bots tried to impersonate the Channel owner and use like "join my such n such" scam with the link. Looks like straight up removing YT Comments with links in the is the best way to deal with them.
