Kweli , even construction is an industry by itself , construction is done world wide when the government want to sink money in the economy , government build houses and roads during recession ,once the money gets into circulation other industries follows, it has been done somewhere else , the only problem with Kenya it is us Kenyans, we need a paradigm change.

@nairobi804 For me I think that govt should detach itself from direct economic ventures. We should be paying the government to ensure our happiness above all and also enable our country to start actually producing and not importing everything. That means that no kickbacks or politicians asking for shares just for their influence. Tbh historically parastatals fail just because govt is a poor manager of actual industries, more mature governments have realised this and that's why it's only in Africa you have parastatals. We need our govt to be creating a perfect business environment by providing most importantly policies that favour the people, infrastructure to enable growth and a force to ensure law and order. Edit: Also let's never forget the biggest vice in the room CORRUPTION.

There was a time a few years ago I thought Alfred Keter was a crook and naive. Little did I know he is this smart and articulate. The only question is whether he would be talking this way if he had gotten his way as an elected UDA member of parliament. We have seen many who were elected or appointed by KK who we thought were smart (including those bought from Azimio) who have now become UDA sycophants and zombies
