Die Combo KK's Priest des legendären Gitarristen K.K. Downing (Judas Priest) ist seit 2020 aktiv und gibt zur Freude des Publikums live nicht nur eigene Songs, sondern auch Priest-Klassiker zum Besten.
Nach jahrzehntelanger Arbeit mit Judas Priest verließ K.K. Downing mit Verweis auf „einen andauernden Zusammenbruch der Arbeitsbeziehungen zwischen mir, Teilen der Band und dem Management“ 2011 die britischen Metal-Pioniere um Rob Halford. 2019 trat Downing erstmals wieder beim Bloodstock Festival gemeinsam mit dem Manowar-Gitarristen Ross the Boss auf. Im November desselben Jahres spielte er eine Show in Wolverhampton gemeinsam mit den ehemaligen Judas-Priest-Mitgliedern Tim „Ripper“ Owens (Gesang) und Les Binks (Schlagzeug), dem damaligen Megadeth-Bassisten David Ellefson und dem Hostile-Gitarristen A.J. Mühlen.
Im Januar 2020 unterschrieb Downing einen Labeldeal und kündigte neue eigene Songs an. Im Februar gab er bekannt, dass er mit Mills, Owens, Binks und dem Bassisten Tony Newton die neue Band KK's Priest gegründet habe.
Im Oktober 2021 erschien das Debütalbum „Sermons of the Sinner“. Binks wurde im Lauf der Aufnahmen durch Cage-Schlagzeuger Sean Elg ersetzt. Später trat Binks gelegentlich live mit KK's Priest auf. Im Jahr 2023 veröffentlichten KK's Priest ihr zweites Album „The Sinner Rides Again“.

Saw them in Munich yesterday. Absolute incredible. Ripper is simply fantastic. BEST singer I ever heared live. Band is tight as hell, all fantastic players and fun to watch. Great setlist.

KKs Priest это новый глоток воздуха у всех Пристов, купил два их альбома, наслаждаюсь их музыкой!) Даунинг и Риппер это мощная сила🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👏 Сейчас правда меня потянуло к немножко другой музыке Megadeth, Pantera, Slayer, Керри Кинг, но KKs Priest тоже слушаю и буду слушать с удовольствием!)

I'm really glad KK managed to get back to making the music he loves, even if he needed to form his own band with the DNA of the original line up to do it. Would have preferred to see him in JP but that won't ever happen, this is a blessing in disguise.

Saw them yesterday in Munich - GREAT show. Only negative point... just 75 mins play time. But they kicked ass in that 75 mins. Especially some Priest classics... Hell Patrol, Green Manalishi, Nightcrawler and an absolute epic Victim of Changes. \m/

Ripper Owens never disappoints. KK's Priest is a force to be reckoned with. Shame we can't have a "Pumpkins United" type deal like Helloween has pulled off, but I can live with two Priests, especially when we get this kind of quality.

I have been there yesterday, 2nd row - it was overwhelming. Everybody is enthusiastic about this performance - also the reactions in the net! I am a long time JP-Fan and have seen them in their full glory in the 80s, several times ... and believe me, this is NOT the time to lament!
