I was 13 when they said I needed to get mine removed, but they waited til the summer to take them out so I ended up being 14 getting them removed

that’s crazy. why not? we only take them out in the USA if they’re growing wrong and they’re causing damage to your other teeth or are causing you pain. if they’re growing normally, they don’t take them out.

I was nevous too, I didn't get my wisdom teeth but I had to get a baby tooth out last month and for me it was a different experience. I was nervous and cried before the appointment and then my appoinment took about 5 minutes and it didn't hurt, but I had the laughing gas and some sort of numbing paste so that I could get the shot in my mouth, I was wake but had like 3 drugs in me so I was ok. It didn't hurt at all and the only thing that did hurt was this rubber block they put on the opposite side of my mouth so I would keep it open. Afterwards though they recomended tynool I didn't take it because I don't want medicine so for my after experience in summary I was: Hangry because I could have chicken or cookies or cake or FOOD (because I'm quite picky and I don't like magority of the soft foods) Happy and laughing because were not supposed to have rice but before reading the paper of what we can't have I got to eat some rice and cake (and had no problems luckily), so that was funny. Sad because the gauze was quite tedious to have to change every 30 minutes. And also because my dad din't fast with me which was quite rude but he gave me piggy back ride and made me sanwhiches (which I also wasn't supposed to have). Instead he ate chicken, and bacon, and rice, and all the good food in my face and all i could do was cry and roll on the floor because he wouldn't share. And then I also there the annoying phases, like how my stitch wouldn't stop losening so I had to sleep cautiously, and how for the first day i had to change the gauze every 30 minutes. And then the food. And then my mom would call me constantly to see if I was ok, since she was at work. But in honesty I think my parents had it worse because my mom was in the room with me and nearly fainted (hense why they advise parents out fo the room but because my mom really cared for my safety and wanted to be there she stuck it though). And my dad had to watch me and make sure I ate the right foods and did everything properly. And my mom had to buy me a bunch of sweets because she promised me bacon but doesn't like me havign ti so she bought 2 tubs ice cream, 1 6 layer cake slice, 4 cupcakes and 2 boxes of mini muffins which I ate by the end of that week. (and my appointment was a thrursday...) i think the funniest part was I was quite "drunk" per say and my I told the dentist "Mr. Your very good at your work, I didn't feel anything, and thank you. And thank you Mrs. Nurse for holding my hand during it and dealing with my are we done yet, can we go's" (almost exact words) Sharing my experience because so maybe you feel less nevous, or you learn from my mistakes.
