Good stuff! Do you use the standard bottle top? It's slightly more awkward to use than the sports tops I'm used to using on the go.

Actually I use a replacement top made by a company called humangear, the capcap. It is a two opening top. So you can access both the big opening when you take it all the way off, and the smaller opening to drink from. Check them out here: www.humangear.com/capcap/. I bought mine at REI, but they sell them there online in the humangear store as well. On the stainless bottle you gotta screw them down nice and tight to keep them from leaking but it is so convenient to use I have them on all my bottles, plastic and stainless, Nalgene and Klean Kanteen.

It seems great so far. I'd like a top that doesn't come away from the bottle but I do like it. I forgot to mention in the video that it's pretty hygienic too as it's got no corners for bacteria to hide and the wide mouth makes it easy to clean out.

+Average Joe Survival I have a gsi stainless bottle that's wide Mouth and the lid is attached but I seem to have broken the lid. I have the smaller kleen kanteen one and it's held up well over the years.

I actually like the look of the GSI better now I've googled it! Like the way the lid stays attached. I'd probably be tempted to try to get a replacement lid.

I'll keep my eye out for one. Sounds like that'd make a great system.

Due to the shape of the cap, it works but isn't ideal. Plus it would give me a cup to remove whenever I want a sip of water. Considering it when I'm in camp mode though so I can have 2 mugs. One to cook in, and a cool one to eat from.

What Gary said. If you're looking for an insulated cup I recconend the Stanley Adventure One Hand Mug.

It's a Tatonka stainless steel mug. Good quality and just like the GSI but cheaper in my region because it's made in Germany. I'd be equally happy with a GSI though, so just go with what's the best price in your area.

How big is the cup? I also have a 40oz stainless steel kleankanteen bottle and I am looking for a fitting cup. But I don't know that size to buy. (0.5l, 0.6l, 0.85l?) If you know the size of the mug from tatonka and/or from GSI that would be perfect. Could you help me out?

I'd agree. Fits well with a nesting cup and 40oz is generally a lot of water to carry for one person. It's worth bearing in mind that the water in the 40oz alone would weigh close to 3lbs so it's already a weighty thing. If you need more water than that I'd suggest taking a Sawyer mini water filter and using it to refill on the way. Maybe consider a Camelbak if you really do need large water storage?

I removed it because it showed it to be a good torch and it had its issues which required much back and forth before it was usable. I used it in anger for 2 years as my main duty light eventually, but out of the box it was unreliable. In fairness to thrunite it was pretty much a marketed prototype and one of the first mass produced 21700 lights.

This one's 0.5l. (500ml).

I didn't want to take out the cup each time I have a sip of water so it was quite important to me to have it at the base. I found the solution in the Condor H20 Pouch that I did a later video on. Thanks for watching! Really appreciate it. ATB Andy
