It’s just you haven’t heard them in the right space and with the right equipment. With today’s digital recordings the bass can be so powerful and deep (organ deep) that no vinyl settings can match. I have had Klipschorns for more than 40 years with a number of different high end equipments but the room is the most important item by far.

Well, it can't--by the laws of physics. Horns--be they actual, physical horns, folded horns, or whatever else, have a minimum frequency which whey will efficiently amplify. That's called the cut-off frequency or F (sub-co). And Bottom C of a pipe organ (C1) has a frequency of 32.70Hz and a wavelength of 34.61 feet. Since the K-horn's designed to an effective horn mouth of 32 feet, it's not quite big enough to pump C1 out the same way it is pumped out at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, Germany--where Bach was cantor for several years, and where he wrote much of his music. In other words, it's doing exactly what it's paid to do. Now, there *are* a couple of organs which go down to C0, or 16.35 Hz, with a wavelength of 69.22 feet! So, for those, a subwoofer is needed.

@@billybcgn25 Totally understand that they are doing what they are paid to do. I absolutely loved them. Nothing wrong with them at all. Plus not much pipe organ music out there that features the c0 note. Not only would you need the subwoofer to pressurize the room with the note. You would also need an insanely large room too. For such a long wavelength. I turn to electronic music by Bassotronics, Bass Mechanic, and Bass Launch for my bass head needs. Sadly they don't have music in DSD yet.

There are a lot of high end speakers that cost way more than Khorns.
