Outplayed is a bit of a stretch, when the other side has 30% possession and hit on the counter. We are making mistakes and miss our chances, due to match fatigue and players out of match fitness.

Nar, I think Klopp has shown what he's prioritising........ Heaverly rotated squad that looked slow and again missed chances. Even though we lost badly i have a feeling with all the players that have come back from injury we can still beat them.

I’m 40+ years following Liverpool. Got exactly what we deserved. It’s been a fantastic season in general. Last years poor showing, we definitely improved. That said we are dropping. Since Utd in the Cup it’s been a decline. If they rebound against Palace it’ll be positive. If not it’s a CL spot. Managers make Clubs. We all know that regardless of loyalties . Ferguson, Wenger , Mourinho, Klopp , Pep . All massive influences. Players can be replaced, managers are a totally different thing 👌🇮🇪

The goal for LFC this year was get back into UCL. Klopp leaving and the stories about fairytale endings started but if we go back to August, the goal was get back into Champion's League, have a go at Europa League. Easy to see it as a missed campaign and by plenty of metrics it is, but hard to see it as a crisis.

Don't think it's a crisis...But a season fulfilled with so much early promise has been showing some major cracks recently. I still think they've got the best run in and they are creating chances, they're just not putting them away. It all boils down to whether or not the recent struggles get in their heads. We all know losing can become a bad habit.

As Liverpool fan I think the issue with Liverpool is arrogance I think should put the best foot forward every game but we've not done that at all. Atalanta out played us. This isn't another Barca game I think we are done in UEL and I think we deserve to be out we've costed through this tournament and not really taken it seriously. We got beat by Toulouse in the early rounds as well.

Klopp is supposed to be the leader. Imagine your leader saying, I'm quitting, I'm too tired. Cool you feel that way, then be honest at the end of the season, don't give this energy to your team mid season. So they are supposed to fight for a manager who's thrown in the towel. These 4 away games back-to-back-to-back-to-back will determine their season. These are not easy away games. Fulham are no mugs, especially at home and both Everton & West Ham are fighting for points. These are very tough games and Liverpool are not playing well....let's see but this is a defining period. Plus, they still have to go to Villa...

@@renanrambo7283you can dominate a game by peppering the opposition goal/ having majority possession/ win the ball in the opposition half etc but control is a bit different. Control is about game management and knowing you don’t have to score 5 goals because there is a chance your opponent could score 4 and you will give them lots of chances etc/ you are vulnerable from set pieces etc. City and Arsenal approach is much more focused on controlling the game compared to Liverpool which is much more focused on overwhelming the opposition through high press/high energy/ fast paced attacks - never sustainable for the whole game.

Was worried as soon as I heard there was not going to be any flags on show at Anfield due to the protest, they help create a wonderful atmosphere normally, plus we fielded a weakened side. It's a passing "crisis". Since New Year, LFC have been heavily decimated while playing far more matches than any other side, and now a lot are returning out of match fitness, bundled in with players that are slightly fatigued. Matches come thick and fast for the team, and rotations will become strong again. We are still creating a lot of chances, but we are not putting them away at the moment. Possibly also have to mention that we have hit the bar 25+ times this season alone in all competitions. That is pretty unheard of.

As a Liverpool fan I worry that after Klopp announced his retirement some of the players started thinking about their future under a new manager. I've read Amorin has told the board he won't sign unless he gets £200 million for 3 players he wants. Maybe the players are asking their agents to put feelers out, so in essence their heads are fuzzy and have lost their concentration. Credit to Atalanta though, by far the better team and now they have 1 and 3/4 legs in the semi 👍

Technically, Mark is right. It is a crisis. Just a few weeks ago they were on about a quadruple and since then, they've been knocked out of the FA CUP, had their league hopes severely dented, and most likely knocked out of the Europa League since Atalanta aren't just any team. They are an organised side, with unique tactics since Gasperini implemented traits of relationism football, a new idea in European football used by Xabi Alonso & Thiago Motta.

No crisis just disappointment. Expectations during the summer was top 4. As we moved through the season what you can see is the players are feeling the pressure, not of Klopp leaving but of the business end of the season. Klopps reign has been full of nearly moments as well as fantastic highs. We don’t look ready, all you can hope as a Liverpool fan is that we continue to improve when a new manager comes in. On a side note, Klopp rebuilt the midfield in a summer but someone needs to revamp the front line with salah probably leaving.

Some of the players would definitely be leaving like Salah, Diaz and probably Nunez also. Its quite clear the players are prioritising the league title for themselves and for their manager. I dont think they take the europa cup seriously. You did say one of the three teams would fall off and we think it would still be Arsenal due to the tough games with Chelsea Spurs, United and Villa. From these 4 games, we see Arsenal would lose one game and draw 2...so that means a drop of 7 points. The title fight would still be City against Liverpool all over again. We just hope the officiating is fair and may the best team wins.

I personally think that it's partially because of Klopp. He did admit and say he was leaving because he was tired and has had enough, so I reckon it's just a mentality thing where he js too tired to coach the team now and the players are feeling the effects of it now.

A gunner here, Liverpool relied on out scoring their opponents. Neither the defense more the attack can be sharp in every game. They can burn out. You need a game management strategy and that’s where Klop’s team is falling short

Klopp has been a problem for quite a while now this season has papered over the cracks. Deep down klopp knows it as well. Put the team in a lot better plsce for the next manager but not enough to win major honours

It's unravelling, we over achieved this season, we had a huge midfield overhaul to be top with the team we have has been unexpected but we were, throw in the injuries and last night, it showed we were tired, everything is finally catching up and i think it will now unravel quickly, i see us dropping points in the league and sad to say i think we drop off. Best scenario now for us, play youth ditch the Europa and focus on the title.

Sure, yeah, overachieved 😂 This is klopp's all over. He can do this wherever he goes There's no overachieving at all. Last season was a nightmare for the team and Klopp. Same similar fashion this season.
