I have the same problem with my Suzuki DRZ400 - no fuel gauge. I use my tripometer to keep track of fuel consumption. Everytime I fill up, I reset my tripometer to zero. When I get to around 100 miles, I start looking to refill.

I look at my SM like it's a Grom or Z125 on steroids. Super fun little bike that shouldn't be taken too seriously. Great 2nd bike for when I'm in a laid back mood.

I got the same bike my 2022 I love it it's so fun to ride when I go to the gas station a lot of kids to say I love you bike it looks fire so easy to ride

Have you had any stalling issues after putting on the delkevic? I have the 9” and for some reason when I’m coming to a stop the bike will sometimes shut off when I pull the clutch in. Figured it might be due to fuel leaning issues since it’s opened up more and was already running pretty lean stock. Hoping fuel controller helps fix the issue but I see so many people do exhaust only so I’m curious if anyone else is having this problem

I just use the trip for fuel gauge. I agree would like to have one along with a larger fuel tank

ive had mine for about 3 months and i absolutely love it. get you a seat concepts seat its way more comfy kinda expensive but worth it imo.

Hey so I bought one of these about a month ago and just got the break in oil change done and now at lower rpm’s while accelerating or decelerating, and probably higher rpm but it’s harder to hear, it sounds like a swarm of angry bees. Idk if something is vibrating on the bike or not but it sounds like the engine. It didn’t sound anything like that for the first 600 miles but I was curious if you had experienced anything like that with your bike? It’s only when it’s under load, it doesn’t do it when it’s idling or when you rev it in neutral.

Honestly it’s pretty crazy that my Grom has a fuel gauge but my 300sm doesn’t 🤦‍♂️ but I use the trip A to track fuel and trip B to help keep track of oil changes. I wish there was more videos on builds and performance mods on these cuz I keep hearing contradicting opinions about removing the secondary butterfly that’s controlled by the ECU

Started my journey on the 390 duke almost 2 years ago which I love. After close to 10k miles it won't wheelie in 2nd anymore. Seems to have lost some pony's. So thinking of trading in at some point. Either klx300sm or Mt07. Leaning towards Mt07 if dealer fees aren't too ridiculous. Sumos look so fun tho.

I have one question. Is the KLX300SM Top Heavy? My Suzuki DRZ400S is so Top Heavy - I hate it. Thinking of selling my DRZ400S because of the Top Heaviness. Top Heaviness is actually dangerous in my opinion - it's like an upside down pendulum.

Never in my life owned a bike with a gear indicator or fuel gage and never bothered me any. Don’t know if I’m officially old yet 35 yrs old 🤷🏻‍♂️

The fact they have the low fuel indicator makes it even more frustrating. There's already a sensor in there FFS. I wish it had a secure place for registration and insurance but the seat is bolted.

Any one that does what you do.. is helping bike sales.. some random person comes n watches ur videos to learn.. then they find out they really like the bike or want one. Well guess what. If they go out n buy a bike. U probably helped that person make the decision to get it. And that one sale... Is a few grand... But regardless.. a frame should not crack that easy.. from riding hard.. or wheelies.. they are made to ride hard.. I'm a kawi fan.. but that kinda upset me.. the only reason they won't cover is cuz the price.

There was a story in the news recently about Toyota trying to pull that B.S., not replacing an engine in a GR86 because the owner posted videos of himself drifting in the car. He sued Toyota and got an engine replacement. You are 100% right, manufacturers scouring YT too see who "abuses" their products is sketchy AF, to say the least. It's borderline criminal stalking.

Frames are engineered for forces to be applied in a certain manner. I would hope that Kawasaki would do due diligence in each frame failure and throughly investigate to determine the cause. If they did not do a proper investigation and even one frame suffered a catastrophic failure then negligence could be proven. With that being said I can only imagine the amount of photographs was numerous and the angles of the pictures was exhaustive. The engineers had to be all over that and could tell how the damage occurred. I seriously doubt Kawasaki needed to watch your videos besides it was probably common knowledge at the dealership that the bike was pushed beyond the parameters of the design because you may have mentioned your KZfaq channel to one or more at the dealership. Possibly? Yes? Unfortunately the new owner knew of the previous owners actions and chose to purchase the bike anyway. "Caveat emptor"- Let the buyer beware. To the fan that purchased the bike. Sorry you had to find out the hard way.
