Brother im 2 Weeks into his program and my Knees feel better and better! I had 2 Knee Surgeries on my Left Knee because of a sports accident. I have been to many Docs .. PTs nothing helped but Bens great system. My recommendation is when doing this program and you have knee problems, just do the program and stop doing any other sports till you get stronger and Pain Free in every movement and listen to your body! Thanks for this great review brother! Gave me some great insight. And to everyone up there struggling and going thoughts Mental stress because you can’t do the sport you love. Stay strong and believe in your body and give it the time and positivity to heal and with time you will make it 💪🏾💪🏾

Thank you very much for your review Timothy. I'm 57 and starting to believe my knees problems can get better. Like you, I have three knee surgeries, a cartridge transplant (a procedure another renowned surgeon told me he would have never done) on my right knee and a meniscus tear one on my left. Despite all my aches and pains I consider myself pretty mobile, but lost the ability to jog and stay in that sited position you were in your video. My ankles are destroyed from twisting them so many times from playing volleyball, blah, blah, blah... I will try and comit to Ben's zero program after you eloquently explained your own progress and I look forward to see your advise on ankle rehabilitation. Thanks again. And by the way, that couch is incredibly beautiful.

Did you try it? What did you think?
@solfeinberg437
@solfeinberg437 3 жыл бұрын
I love the simplicity and the attitude - like let's explore this how I do I do this. I've been amazing empowered by that kind of thinking - like permaculture says the problem is the solution. I made a nordic "bench" in like 15 minutes after thinking about it relaxed and creatively without a ton of work - I just drilled some lag hooks I had into the floor of my closet - I care about my health more than my floor although I care about it too. Took a weight belt - which I later swapped for a simple but nice and strong yoga strap and a thick yoga mat folded up. I also built a tib bar. And I just built a slant board - out of pallet wood. My first go was just to stack a couple little 2 x 4 lengths and lay another board across 'em. Anyway - that's kinda fun. I think you and KOT are telling people - look you have the perfect feedback - your body tells you what feels good or bad or what's missing - and a little bit of play and exploration might help you figure it out - they resistance and motion under stretch idea - I think is going to transform my "practice" from static yoga and not very good mobility to funny creative things where I try to position my body or weight relative to gravity to get the right resistance. The not training through pain but rather regressing the exercise - these ideas are gold and very empowering.
@kingdomzheartsrocksz
@kingdomzheartsrocksz 2 жыл бұрын
Your comment perfectly encompasses some of the thoughts I’ve had as well. It’s incredible how often we underestimate the value of our body’s feedback, and our ability to move is often underscored by more “static” and fixed movements, when you can build strength through an almost endless range of motion with enough dedication and attention

Yeah Ben has surely been an inspiration. I feel you, sir, about the ankles. I'm in my early 30s, skateboarded for much of my teens and early 20s, have had many ankle injuries, and knee injuries, both in the left leg, and I've repaired my knees, even to the point of squatting 2xBW and pistol squatting with kettlebells for reps, yet from ankle injuries, and bone growing on bone, my left ankle's ROM will never match my right, yet from doing this KOT work, no longer do I experience weird and unstable movements in my left, and my ROM has improved, while showing itself more in my left knee, even though discomfort was not frequent. It is reducing while my left ankle gets stronger&stronger, more stable, and now with slightly more ROM. It may never match the right side, yet adaptation and changes are always possible

Great idea Tim about putting extra hamstring work into the programme. Getting the hamstring and hips to work together with lower legs works wonders for people dealing with achill issues. So the forefoot supported bridge is very good for that. Getting it then into standing position and working either on absorbing the force or push off makes it stick. Keep up great work and thanks for information, btw Golden teacher is still my favourite 👌

Nice review. I have a feeling that it didn't help your ankles because you didn't do the calf movements correctly. You are supposed to go all the way down and get a deep stretch on each FHL and KOT calf raise. Turning them into quarter pulses shifts the emphasis into the muscles and away from the tendons and ligaments of your ankles.

i've been doing the program for a week and feel slightly better. However, i've always struggled with annoying pain from lower back to ankle, only on my right leg. I haven't had a professional opinion yet, but googling this came up with Sciatica. I'm not sure yet. Also, stretching or doing hip rotation exercises worsens the pain. My right leg always goes numb when i sit too long in the toilet. Anyway, i hope the program does help with this.

I don't know if the sissy squats in the program are done freely as you show, but for me, it's a mistake not to have a support to maintain balance. The impact you can exert on the patellar tendon when stable is much greater and leads to better adaptations.

Like upper body? chest, back, arms, abs etc.? since this program is M,W,F I was thinking of doing supersets like Bi's and Tri's together on Sunday, Chest and back Tuesday, and Shoulders and Abs on Thursday. Might be too much though. Rest is important. I guess I could scale those back and do less sets. What do you think? Or do you recommend just doing this for the 12 weeks before adding anything else?

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” 👑

Jesus was an aberration, but the tenets of peace and unity are king. It's better to just say peace and unity are king because the sects of Christianity who believe that christ was a warlord are drawn to you, unfortunately, when you use his name.

@@jermsbestfriend9296 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:19‭-‬21‭, ‬36 KJV

@@huytruong7370 if you're trying to describe aspects of morality, that's fine, and it's okay to pick the morality out of the Bible and appreciate it. But there are many evil teachings in the Bible that are readily accepted by religious people because it is the nature of the religion to weaken their minds and exploit this weakness. Modern values are most important, and we should adapt the best values from the past and make them a part of modern values. And we should adamantly refuse bad values like the hatred of homosexuals, condemnation of intercourse, the culture of not allowing partners to have friends of the opposite sex, jihad or the one true God idea beyond the concept that morality and impericism itself are godlike traits.... And we need to abandon the idea that we have proof of god. We do not.

@@huytruong7370 also, and this is crucial, we need to wholeheartedly embrace the fact that people can be good without religion. In general, atheists are great people. Their community can improve, but it's not bad.
