I bought a RR Congress to see if I would like it and was impressed with the quality of the build. It really is well made and the congress pattern has become a favorite with me now. Great video btw and thank you for sharing.

Yes, many congress knives open with the larger blades going backwards. It is very common among many German brands, such as Boker, J.A. Henkels, and others. Case XX puts them going forward though. Great review! I've always been curious about getting a RR congress, I think I might have to get one now!

The GEC had blade rap and had to be sharpened down quite a bit; the RR did not. Interesting.

So you like the GEC better than the RoughRider? Even though the blade rap was so bad that you had to remove an inordinate amount of blade steel from your main blade. How many of the RRs could you have bought for the amount of the GEC? Do you like it 5 or 6 times as much as the RR? Actually, thanks for the video.

The rough Rider was like $15, the GEC $100 or so. So yeah 6. I'm not sure. I don't carry either much.
