You are a wonderful knitting podcaster! Thanks for sharing the article info about knitting - stress release, joy, and sense of accomplishment. This is definitely how I "wind down" and love that knitting is part of my life. Thanks also for sharing the farm shop - so amazing to see. You do a great job at filming - a pace slow enough for us to appreciate the various items. Plus I love that they had a sitting area for loved ones to hang out. ;) Maybe a visit some day.

It was so nice to travel and shop vicariously through you! I'm a new knitter (since last fall) but it's addictive for those exact reasons: the tactile feeling of making something, the repetition, the fact that you can vary the levels of challenge, the long-term nature of the project with a distinct end goal of wearing or gifting the item, it's all a perfect de-stressing craft. And getting to watch what advanced knitters like you work on makes it even more fun!

Someone probably commented that already, sorry. But when you said white powder at the airport, I just thought: they checked that bag and saw its no drugs and we're thinking: " these crazy knitting people nowadays" 😆🤣😂 Knitting has been and is still a kind of therapy for me. To heal my soul, to destress from worries and everyday life. I can't imagine my life without knitting and without my knitting friends. They are my family and for me too, knitting is a part of me. Thank you for this wonderful episode!

Hello Inga,, absolutely agree , I love knitting, especially in morning and evening while watching tv. In this mixed up world, we are doing a good thing, it’s universal and wonderful, all these knitters casting on projects , making socks or a jumper for someone. I love the yarn and the excitement when you receive a package in the mail. I finished and blocked my all over Colorwork jumper and must say so happy with how it turned out. Started a biche et Buche after party sweater, and might purchase a Marie Wallin kit for a knit in the round all over Colorwork with a boat neck, it is steeked for sleeves and no huge sewing up, all the yarn you purchased is lovely!!❤🧶☕️

So nice to see the footage of the G-Uld shop! I am going in June for their 4 day dyeing workshop. I am a Canadian who lives in the states but am of Norwegian descent and so we (me along with my sister and daughter) are going to go to Norway and Sweden too. I am sure I better bring the old suitcase in a suitcase as I know I will be coming home with a pile of yarn. It is always so fab to buy the yarn while traveling and then remember the trip when you wear the item. My last trip I was in Scotland, England and Brussels and am working on a second vertices shawl and a sweater with the yarn I bought at the Perth Yarn Festival. My husband is coming back from Paris today, and you know he is coming back with yarn! Guess I better work on the Nutiden Versal sweater I am knitting him today! Always look forward to your videos. I live in Michigan, and every year we have a huge fiber festival called the Michigan Fiber Festival. They have animals, workshops and vendors. It is so much fun! You would love it.

I naturally dye yarn in my little business. I love Cochineal! It’s so versatile. Add a little acid and get bright pink tones, add a bit of baking soda or alkaline water and it will turn purple. The pinks I’ve gotten from cochineal has far surpassed those from madder root. If you want red make sure you use a high % for WOF. Let me know if you have any questions.

Amen to the idea that knitting reduces blood pressure! My daughter was born at 26 weeks (under 1000 grams) because I had extreme Pre-Eclampsia and HELLP syndrome. Seven years later when I got pregnant with my son, I vowed to keep my blood pressure down by doing my favorite thing - knitting! I religiously took the time to calm myself, sit, and knit for several hours each day. I kept my blood pressure down and he came at a full 40 weeks! These days (17 years later with two healthy children), I'm fully addicted to knitting and now I know why - all those accomplishments! :) Love your podcast and am happy to vicariously "buy" yarn by watching you - even when I'm not buying it!!

Wow, shall I be like everyone here or shall I say Inga I love your podcast, but is the knitting all what life is about? Inga you yourself must know, I knitted myself more than 400 pieces within the past 3 years, put often the knitting ahead of everything, I know the dopamine going back on trauma, but what is it in your case. MTHFR ? Matthias and your surroundings are worth it, it is not to change you, it is you giving it a thought? Thank you. I know each of your podcasts. Maybe a new puppy will show you another world. Knitting is a wonderful addiction and you are a good example of it, you show me practically the way how to be practically free of being addicted.

Very interesting - I gave the G-uld book to my daughter last year and this year I hope to be traveling around Denmark, so who knows...! I was surprised the samples were on hangers, it's a shame if they're spoilt by their own weight dragging on them, maybe they could find a better way to drape them over bars or something so they'll keep their shape. Beautiful yarns, beautiful store. And yes, what is life without knitting to keep us sane :O!!
