Glad you got there safely. I remember the years of marathon drives with my exes. You do get to a point and an age where you can’t and/or are not willing to do that and either take the time to stop overnight or just fly.

Way to go, Kent! My husband and I went to TX over the summer (we are from MD) and visited a Buc-ee’s for the first time. We now refer to it as Gas Pro Shop 🤣

When you were heading to Nashville we were preparing for a trip from NC to AL for a bowl game, where it was much colder than it was at home. I thought "oh we're heading south, so it'll be warmer"...I was so wrong LOL

You’re so lucky you left when you did. We drove to Nashville from WV (about 4 hours after you arrived) and the roads were so terrible from the deep freeze, it took us 8 hours when it usually takes 5!!!

Glad you're all arrived safely, toaster travelled so well. I need me a Kent to do all the driving so I can relax and sleep though not sure if I can knit in a car I didn't used to be able to, I always got travel sickness 🤢But I'd give it a good try 😁

Good choice on bringing the granny stripe blanket! I would’ve done the same thing. I love knitting on our road trips from Texas to Illinois and working on my favorite projects makes the drive more enjoyable. Merry Christmas! 🎄 ❤

Thank you for buckling Toaster up! People forget to buckle in their pets, but it's important. Also, I miss Wawa! I grew up in VA and now live in WA, and there are no Wawas out here. Hope you had a safe drive! I used to make that drive all the time from VA to ME.

I’m reminded of driving home to Delaware from Florida and how ENDLESS Virginia is. How did you manage to get from PA to MD without hitting that little bit of DE? Maybe it went by so fast you missed it. 😊 Also Kent is a gem!
