Sometimes you just have to know when to fold 'em and go somewhere else rather than slog through an entire adventure where death awaits at every turn. What are the odds the next place you stop at has demonic creatures everywhere?

You don't get this a lot, but it's always nice when You do. You had the option in Suikoden 2 around mid-game, when one of the main characters has enough of war and fighting and asks the protagonist to just run away... and You can. You get a kinda bittersweet ending where the two of You just run away and live the rest of Your lives in a cottage in the middle of nowhere. Not satisfying, but I always appreciate it when games let You do that kind of thing. Of course, there's also the one in Far Cry 4. I always thought of that one as the canonical ending, tbh. "Stay right here, BRB." - 5 minutes later - "Thanks for waiting. Lets go do the thing You wanted to do, no problem!"

Sadly, boat didn't go into space and a cool ass space theme didn't start playing. Oh well, not a huge loss, there's not a single game at the moment that could top the masterpiece that is "Town with no name".

As retired military myself I can attest this is often the first reaction. It's never wise to fight until you can assess the danger. In real life, one soldier cannot take on such forces. In video games you're hitting a button lol.

With infernax's routes all being so different in length I dont think a generic any% exists. Every route probably has their own specific "100% or any%" options.

I love how this game doesn't even give you the option if you use the Konami code. Because Maxime Gunn is so busted that running straight into the maw of hell is surprisingly safer option than running for your life.

You don't even need to beat up the zombie. If you see it, and it starts walking towards you, that is enough for the game to allow you to go back to the boat and escape.

this is kinda like the ending in farcry 3 i think. You can end the game in the first scene of the game to get a 'joke' or the 'smart' ending by thinking outside of the box. I think all games should have this so kudo to the devs. In far cry if you sat at the table while waiting for Minn to get back he takes you directly to where you're trying to go to complete your quest then takes you to hang out. you don't kill or hurt a soul. Roll credits.

There is a game called Metal Saga where you can do that too. It's hilarious. Such a nice gem of a game,just like this pne many secret endings. From the cliché saving the world ending,to never leaving home in the first place,say fuck it to the adventure and getting married or joining a cult of bpdy builders,that game has it all.
