Dude, I became a fan of Tom when I listened to People So Stupid. I’ve gone back and listened to everything of his I can find and I even bought the 2 albums that just dropped. I’ve been following other reactors to get additional perspectives on what Tom is saying (full disclosure, I’m 62 and never listened to hip hop because the messages were about self destruction through alcohol, drugs and lack of respect for others). There are references to things not understood by my generation. I hope you’ve made it this far because I’m giving you props for bringing new insight that others don’t have. As a rapper, you are able to shine a light on the significance of intricate bars that others miss. Thank you for that. You should check out Sober by Tom with Nova and Madchild. You end your reactions with an invitation for people to reach out if needed and that we are in this together. That’s why Sober hit me so deeply. I’ve never had any kind of substance abuse issues but a brutal level of depression. “Sober” sums up that battle that must be fought every single day. I’m in my 3rd bonus overtime and I fully understand the entire, “I do me and here’s a gift for your negativity 🖕” POV. When you’ve given death the finger, it alters ones perspective and you take life as the grand adventure that it is and what is important comes with a clarity that is indescribable. Though being a true Rap God would mean you would have to beat Eminem lyrically. Be that in a rap battle or series of disses, but I think that would never happen...definitely could blow up very huge though and without being signed...that would be fucking awesome

@@WindyCityNick I love Eminem and have been a fan for a very long time. Once he started getting political in ways that he disrespected his fans I lost respect for him. After listening to Tom's music and not just the political stuff it is clear that he is just as talented as Eminem and will probably grow to be even better. Tom treats his fans as if they are family and never stops letting us know that without us he would not be where he is successfully. Not screw you if voted for someone I hate and you aren't worthy of being a fan. Screw that, he used to rap about where he came from but seems he forgot. There is nobody rapping today with the size balls Tom has. If you can't appreciate someone calling all the bullshit out that is being used to divide us and gradually take our rights away then you may very well be part of the ppl he is calling out. You don't have to like him or his music to appreciate a message. You had a choice to say something and your go to was negative. I will never understand why ppl would rather trash someone than to not waste time on something they supposedly don't like but it's probably because I don't deliberately watch content I dislike and give it views.

I’m a hardcore Red Dirt & Outlaw Country fan. I also listen to some Rock. I had never listened to a song by Tom MacDonald until he released this song. I generally do not like rap but I appreciate good lyrics so there are some outliers for me. He’s fantastic. He talks about real life and things that people of all backgrounds can connect with. First time watching one of your reactions and I have to say you earned a subscriber, I like the way you break his msg down and explain the lyrics. Some got a little lengthy, but overall I enjoyed very much
