Koalas are an icon of Australia, and in this video, I go behind-the-scenes to see how amazing this Koala hospital is, and the incredible work they are doing with these amazing marsupials.
The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital in Australia is a branch of the Koala Conservation Australia Incorporated - a Not-for-Profit Organization. The hospital treats between 200 and 250 koalas a year but it is not only a hospital to treat sick and injured koalas but is also involved in research with University Sydney, University Technology Queensland and the Australian Museum into koala diseases.

I love Koalas 🐨 ❤ They're so innocent and adorable and are put through so much 😭 🤧 😩 😫 😢 I'm so happy for places like this and even home carers who care for them for life or for a future release. We cannot get these beautiful, adorable extinct, we have to protect them and their habitats. Thank you for sharing and bringing awareness 🙏 ❤ I just want to love and cuddle them, protect them from all the harm out there! These ppl are amazing who love them and care for them, not for financial gain, but for the pure love and appreciation of Koalas.

Australia has such amazing animals (mammals and reptiles) that are completely unique to them nothing else's like their little creatures anywhere else in the world I love that you give us a window to the world!

WoW! Dig that new intro, nicely done Dav. Devasting what happened to the wildlife over there after those fires. What a positive thing to see a hospital like this. We need one of these in the U.S. after everything that's happened in 2020 so far.

Port MacQuarie is a fantastic crew of people, so dedicated to preserving the lives of the most precious animal on earth: the koala. The best part is, they no longer have to do it alone : two new koala hospitals gave been completed: Port Stephens Koala Hospital, and FOK Koala Hospital, just outside Tuckurimba. With more hospitals specializing in koala care, more koalas can be cared for and returned to the wild to live a long, healthy, happy life!💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🐨
