I think it's the extension cord. Try if you plug in directly in the wall. Also try not running anything else on the same circuit alone. Just some stuff I saw in a couple of videos.

Yes, when we run it on it's own cord and nothing else is with it, it helps alot. We're on temporary/ limited power while we build, so we get pretty creative with it.

I have a small comprssor. It had a start capacitor that is overheating. I was running nail guns and it had to turn on more often. I wired in a larger capacitor. Now its my favorite air compressor. I'll bet that is what is overheating hence needs to cool down.

To save you some headaches you can connect a expansion air tank so it doesn't have to cycle as much helps but it's is cheap and quite

I agree 100% with Marcus the cords too thin and should be used solo try running it on a heavier cord

just change the switch(central pneumatic air compressor switch control valve 90-120 psi 240v) from amazon $9. an that fix the problem when you running 0ther tool at the same cord. the only thing you have to do it before install the cover switch is increase the presure bolt because is setting for 90psi

That little "hiss" is the unit releasing pressure at the compressor. The idea is that it will make it easier for the motor to start again since it's not under load. Not sure why there would be such a delay in restarting though.

Thanks for the video. Got this exact same model for Christmas and was finally able to play with it today (12/30/22), aired up two tires on my car well but turned off and stayed off after that. I was wondering what the problem was. Kind of annoying, but I do love how quiet it is.

That’s strange. Like they were saying in the comments, maybe also try a larger chord that can handle the load.

Mine cycles all the way to red, then stops and won’t cycle anymore and have to continually reset and won’t cycle. Tried different cords and still does it. No ideas.

Bummer. We've still had issues - but only when it's on the same circuit as another tool (usually a power saw)

You never know with a lower grade brand. For us, the main thing that has helped is to have it on a completely different circuit than other tools. If we have it a bunch of ext cord connections or splitting power with saws, etc., it messes up.

Chances are that the extension cord is causing the problem. Made in commi china items are chintzy. Many of the extension cords that we bought and said 14ga wire, was bullsh-t because they was MUCH closer to 16ga, and their cords they said was 12ga was actually MUCH closer to 14ga. We was having problems with our air compressor too whereby would do the same thing that yours is doing. We felt our 14ga extension cord and was getting hot but our made in USA cord we had previously used never did this. We cut open the china-made cord and checked the gauge of wire that said was 14 ga but was more like 16 ga. Communists suck and so does most of their products. We're better off putting a little extra money into actual quality made products than to spend our money on disposable junk from china If you do happen to have a quality made cord, check the wire ga and if it's 14ga, switch to 12ga in order to handle the extra draw of current that compressors will often draw in comparison to our power tools

Good tips! The bigger chords definitely help! We've used a larger gauge for our camper needs.

When we have it on it's own plug, not sharing power with anything (and not a cheap extension cord), it does ok.
