Man, I miss Kobayashi in Nathan's hog dog eating contest. Didn't like how he got treated by MLE and the U.S fans. It was supposed to be about eating competitor vs eating competitor until they turned the shit into US vs Japan BS. Takeru only wanted to be accepted by the U.S fans and feel welcomed but it wasn't at all. Every time I see Nathan's eating place or brand I always think of the great Kobayashi and not Joey Chesnut.

Matt stonie has videos on his channel of personal recordings, one long shot no camera changes where he counts the hotdogs eaten himself, and the final count by the judges vs his count are different, and always in favor of chestnut. Not only is he a slob, half his food is flying all over the place but the counts are actually rigged I believe.

I've seen plenty of Matt Stonie videos where there's sly jump cut edits! (ie, where the camera cuts off and is restarted!) So in that very nature how, exactly do we truly know what he's truly consuming in his youtube videos? Like Stonie, but I'm seeing this more and more throughout his videos. The ONLY way to do it fairly is to keep the camera rolling on one continuous take. The very second it cuts... They could be cheating.

There was a 30 for 30 documentary made about what happened to him. His mom died, the competition screwed with the contract etc so he lost interest in participating. He started doing small shows now again but he had a few years break..

Crazy to see all of this. I just got into all of this a few days ago. Fresh eyes. I thought the exact opposite about Chestnut. The most recent 4th of July competition, Chestnut was clean eating for sure. I specifically said look at all those messy people and this dude is clean af! I even went back and watched the competition where Chestnut got the mustard yellow belt by beating Kobayashi, and from what I saw Kobayashi was covered in hot dog nastiness... he was definitely the messy eater there. Looking at him made me nauseous.
