Watching him from the stands is mad. The amount of ground he covers off the ball is immense and he always looks so calm. Last time we had a central midfielder with this much potential was Paul Pogba when he was a nipper.

I haven't seen him put a foot wrong this season. I can't think of a single time he gave the ball away or had it stolen. His composure, decision making and ability to get himself out of tricky situations are astounding.

As an Man City fan I have to say Mainoo from the small amount of games ive seen him in has a high footballing IQ for this age and will no doubt be a baller as a 8 going forward . He has great ball carrying and passing ability and he can dictate the tempo of the game knows when to slow things down and retain the ball or go forward and creates scoring chances for his teammates. He has great vision and fairly precise distribution.On a defensive contributions level he is timely with interceptions and tackles. His adaptability to different positions is also on a ridiculous level and has bags of agility in tight half spaces as well as amazing composure for this age. I cant see him failing at united he seems to be getting better and better in every game I see him in and doesn't shy away in difficult games and big games . United just need a certified 6 really like Amadou Onana .

If we could get another midfielder of this class, we would be able to start controlling games. It was literally him alone against Liverpool. And even when he was exhausted he was still fighting for the team unlike some other players. He's definitely a cut above the rest in the team. And I'm not surprised that he is 18. Age can only have so much impact but not totally. I am not in agreement with his calling up to the England squad, I wanted him to remain at the club and continue developing and stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. But if he decides to accept the summon, then I'll give him my support.

If you watch Mainoo attacking an opponent, he always touch the ball showing that he watches the ball and not the leg of the opponents. But when he is with the ball, he(Mainoo) allows his brain to work in a maximum manner and he knows what to do with the ball. At his age, he already figures such system and the reason he is so good
