@@davis2k1234 He did get some flak, yes. I remember it well. No offense, but he earned it. He probably raped someone. He ran Shaq out of LA. As LA rebuilt, he went on an absolute spree of ball-hogging and self-glorification. It's weird how time changes things. Now everyone loves his "mamba mentality," which instead of making him a sociopath means he was a superior competitor to LeBron. Now 81 is not the act of a selfish ball-hog but one of the great acts of NBA artistry. For me the truth is somewhere in between these reads. I never idealized Kobe, although I did appreciate his greatness and still do.

The thing about kobe that seperates him from the rest... is he got the most out of his god given talents. He shouldn't have been that much greater then his dad. But kobe having the mamba mentality since he was a kid. He was able to surpass his natural abilities. I like to liken him to a goku from dbz. Practice night and day relentlessly until you break new levels. Lebron was given the most natural ability. Imagine bron with kobes mentality... or kobe with brons genes... scary.

Well when Kobe came into the NBA guys from High school couldn’t start no matter how great you was in 96, But when Bron came that was out the window I believe around 2002 so the difference is that the NBA allowed Bron to play at that age because of the rule change not because Bron was so great out the gate 😂 context baby.

4:08 LeBron has the most perfect feel good story. I get that and see where Charles is coming from. For me personally though a good story is rife with struggle and hardships to overcome. Adversity and failure keeps you engaged, can’t all go write in a film, show or book otherwise there is no story or at least a very boring one. And LeBron has had a lot of those moments too especially when it comes to championships so his story is great by any metric especially as the torchbearer legacy holder but personally I prefer a tragedy and there’s nothing more inspiring than getting up back on the court to shoot 2 free throws after tearing an Achilles. Especially when you know your body’s done. You keep going anyway, come back to prove it and you drop 60 to say goodbye. The story of Kobe Bean Bryant. Gave his blood sweat and tear to the game, never cheated the grind and his story won an Oscar as soon as he was out of the league. He was gearing up for just as legendary of a career post basketball too but was robbed too soon
