There were no miracle shots by Kobe. Practice and hard work. Add to those things incredible talent and a ruthless warrior mentality. I think all of those things should be his legacy in the NBA.

They talk about his efficency, his shooting percentages, but leave out context and the truth is kobe was constantly double and triple teamed and was still a high scorer, tied with tim Duncan for most fundamentally sound player of all time, and the 2nd greatest player of all time behind MJ

Kobe's FG% was at the very least league average for most/all of his career, but the critics would have you thinking Kobe was shooting 30% from the field. Sure, league average is literally average but with the context of the shots he made, league average is still worth it.

There is not a single player in todays game doing what Kobe did. He was the penultimate of his style, played the game with reckless abandon and was easily the funnest player to watch of all time.

Look at Kobe's shot at 3:18, the defender comes into kobe's airspace and doesn't allow him a good landing. In today's NBA the offensive player would've fallen on their backside to try and draw a foul, namely, James Harden. Kobe? no. He'd rather hit the tough shot.

He even fade away so yes 100% a foul; when harden shot even is step back he always fall into the defender to cause the contact so the Ref way give him the fouls even when he cause the contact but Kobe fall backwards and defenders move under his foot so today game it would have been too easy for him.

Kobe is about realizing your full potential, and being a life long overachiever (mean it in the best way possible). He doesn't have the athleticism or size, he can have awful shooting nights, but he always demands the ball and keeps shooting. When you work that hard, and shoot that many shots, miracles are bound to happen. In my humble opinion, that's what the Mamba Mentality is all about.

There’s always the comparison between MJ and Kobe, I think Kobe was the more refined player, and better shooter. I do think Kobe had a specific ferocity that other players couldn’t and didn’t want to deal with. He was incredible.
