And that move has an extra hit so his tiny flames are probably legit unlike before where he was using a lighter produce sparks.

Want to join in but Koyasu Takehito voiced way so many characters (in fact, he has one of the highest number of voiced characters at 700 with the next highest at 580 held by Miki Shin'ichirou) that I prefer to let a computer do the listing instead. Speaking of the VA, if one does a check on Yabuki Shingo's origins, it mentions that the character is made for the VA. However, the character is considered as playing against type.

He started to unlock fire on his own accord given the Giden manga, which is actually canon. Especially given his reaction when fire comes out when attacking with Dokugami. So no, Shingo's not using a lighter unlike 03, and the small flames are real.

@@odintakerprime6595 considering the manga as "partially canon" from SNK, it's legit to say it's real, as he doesn't even actually realize it when it comes out. He says "Nanka deta! (something just came out!)" each time his critical aragami emits fire. Although it was blue fire in the manga (meaning even hotter than Kyo's?)

@@mathieud1256 blue fire tends to lean more on the spiritual side, I think. Meaning Shingo's will be completely original in the kof universe and could counter Iori's flame. Also thanks for confirming that manga is legit.

How often are those crits? Seems these combos are heavy on rng even if they do big dmg.

They've always been random and deal extra damage (Especially given that Shingo already hits very hard) and knockdown, but these criticals bounce the opponent for more combos.

There's a little flame when he does the HP/EX Rekka. If HP Rekka gets critical, he DOES have a little flame, and questions to himself "What was that?", and also the EX Rekka that doesn't have the same post-Critical animation to make it a combo tool.

Plus, the gaiden manga confirms that Shingo's unlocking his own type of fire. And if you think the manga isn't canon, Shingo's sisters were introduced in that manga, and they're (along with his question about color flames)canon thanks to Shingo's interview in XV.
