Lisa became famous as a shredding KZfaqr when she was a little kid. Hazuki we all know and love from Nemophila. Kotono danced for Babymetal and also danced and sang for Ironbunny (before she went blonde, so some people don't recognise her from back then). Kanade is another former child prodigy, and Wakazaemon is in East of Eden and has worked with a ton of great musicians.

Li-sa-X and Hazuki (Nemophila) on guitar, Kanade Sato on drums and for this show, Wakazaemon (East of Eden) on bass with Kotono on vocals. This is basically the former Li-sa-X Band with a different vocalist. This song showcases the insane chops of Hazuki and Lisa-X, much of their music is more contemporary rock with some pop and prog-rock elements. The guitarist with glasses is Hazuki (Nemophila). This song is quite special in their music. Koiai is more pop-oriented than its former band Lisa X Band.

From what I understand, previous vocalist of Lisa-X band (Rina) is Kotono's vocals coach/teacher so the student took over for the teacher. Hazuki and LIsa-X have pretty much been together since Lisa-X's first solo live when members of Disqualia (Hazuki, Narumi and Risa Risa) supported her on stage. I also recall Hazuki got scolded by Risa Risa during the promo for the show when she mentioned there would be hot girl action and a threesome (of guitarists) on stage.

They are insanely talented musicians. When Li-Sa-X toured with Polyphia a few years ago Tim Henson (might have been Scott) said something like this about her: (Going by memory. Apologise for whatever is wrong. English is my 2nd (third?) language) "She came in to the first rehearsal, playing both our parts as if it was an exercise and then when we got to where her first solo she played things I wouldn't even consider trying to play. She's, by far, the best guitarist I've ever played with." Marty Friedman and Jason Richardson has said similar things about her. Kanade Sato has been a professional drummer since she was 10 playing mostly jazz and fusion Hazuki has played guitar professionally since at least 2015. Her main band is Nemophila. Kotono I don't know a lot about more than that she toured with Babymetal as a dancer for a while.

Yeah I think you nailed it KOIAI is Japanese Taylor Swift metal. Im sure you know now but yes Hazuki from Nemophila is the other guitarist. Lisa-x has performed with the other members of Nemophila as well. Even though its a different singer I highly suggest checking out Lisa-x band Looking Up to You next!

Koiai may be one of the most insanely diverse band of all the Japanese female bands. Pick any other song they have put out (there’s not many 5 or so) and you will meet something different! 🤘🎸🐺

Penny Black This is why I call Hazuki... "Penny Black": a variant of Nemophila Menziesii "baby blue eyes" flower with a distinct... KOIAI "dark indigo" color! 😂😂

They definitely need to move in this direction. Their pop stuff isn't cutting it.

Li-sa-X's guitar work gives you goosebumps!

I think the singer’s vocals-which seemed to remind you of Taylor Swift-can perhaps appeal to a wider audience, while the shredding appeals to the people interested in the more technical aspects. Together creating a contrast. You see this sort of contrast (but in different ways) in a lot of Japanese bands. I think they could do very well, but they will probably need to create more songs that combine these sort of elements together.

Lisa X and Hazuki have been friends for a while. They see each other a little and big sisters. Lisa X band started when she was still in high school. Rina was the vocalist and they had guest bassists and drummers. From what I understand, Rina got married and moved to Korea. Not a lot of songs since Lisa was still in school. She has since graduated and Kotono is now the singer and Kanade the drummer.
