Decided to buy the 472 after your tablet comparison video, looking forward to it’s use.

I've been using the 472 for about 2 weeks now after 4 months of mouse, and I have to say, I love it! As you said, dragging will eat the nibs fairly quickly, but it hasn't affected me all too much, and I'm glad I did my research before buying a tablet!

The 480 was around $30 when it first came out. After I bought mine, I would see the price get higher and higher even though the new models weren't that much better.

forreal after youre tablet comparision video, I just bought the 472 as my first tablet and yeah im still trash at aiming xD I need to play way more with it. But its really cool to see that youre doing videos like this aswell ^^

i received the tablet as a gift from a friend since like november last year (2020) and its my first, i dont know what the other prestiegous tablets feel like, but i can say for sure, in terms of feel and input delay, the 472 really takes the cake for me since i recently encountered some other tablets from friends. i remember looking for youtube reviews on this tablet but only finding like two, damn what a journey

Just bought this tablet yesterday from your video after my Wacom CTH-470 broke. It honestly does wonders for me and i really love it!

Dragging on the tablet for the first week feels hard cause of the paper texture. But the texture wares down pretty quick if u play a lot. My area is pretty much smooth now and a lot better for dragging. Pen is too light and too small for ppl with bigger hands. Pen nibs ware out super fast but nibs are really easy to get. Tablet can be flipped even vertically in the wacom driver if the cable is annoying you. Price is cheap and easy to find. Overall quite worth it.

I bought it 2 months ago and its a really good tablet helped me improve a lot the only thing i dont really like is the pen since its pretty small and sometimes gets into weird pos when i sweat . But overall instead going for a 480 and risk since you have no clue how the owner used it. Just go for the 472 get a tablet cover and you good to play. Enjoy your new tablet! :D

I switched from a Huion H420 to a CTL472 and I can confirm as a dragger the nibs dissappear so fast, so I'm trying to change my grip to fix that issue. And yes, the surface feels weirddddd as hell at first, but you get used to it. Aside from that, the sensitivity is amazing, I would recommend it if you're willing to go through those changes.

legit ordered the 472 on Monday, I'm quite new to Osu so the next move is defo a tablet cover off of foxbox and a better monitor asap (a 144hz 1ms one but I haven't picked which model). I fucking love the videos Koi

Well, even though I play osu! for fun and I'm not very good at it, this finally made up my mind to get a CTL-472, I got the XP-Pen G640 like a year ago and it turned out a Rev-B so I got screwed because my country doesn't even have official support from XP-Pen lmao. Nice and useful review Koi.

I absolutely love your Videos, i recently started playing osu! again after a 1 1/2 year break. Sadly my Tablet somehow get damaged over this period and so im playing with mouse right now. But i'm definitly going to get a new Tablet and I think I will try the 472 and see how I like it. Befor I had the XP Pen wich you showed in the comparisan Video and I didn't liked it anyway so its kinda good it broke xD Have a wonderful Day

I use 480 because of the surface, how good my hand rests on it and gow big it is. It feels good and If i doesn’t break anytime soon nor has any problems I’ll sure be using it for the rest of my osu “career”.

I got the 472 right before you and beast switched over to it, I used to have a 480 but the pen kept giving me issues so I wanted to buy a new tablet, was gonna get a 480 but I saw some people saying that the 472 has no hardware smoothing so I got this instead. It is literally the exact same tablet just with a different design, I don't drag so I can't really say anything on that issue (just get a cover lol) but the weight of the pen is literally a non issue, it is a very minimal difference and would only take a few days of getting used to tbh. If you are getting one of the two I would say just get a 472 because it is cheaper and it is new rather than second hand so it's kinda a win win tbh

Started out using an xp pen g430s, but after a while I was worried the cable was at such an angle it may break (it is still fine 3 months on lmao) so I bought a ctl472, mostly from the recommendations of top players. I tried it, immediately loved it. And I've since bought a 480 as well. I love them both, I use my 472 for at home and 480 for on the go and in college. Would never go back to the xp pen, feels too laggy for me now

I have been playing with the 472 for 3 years now, and the only "problem" I have had is that 2 of the 4 black things on the underside have come off (I'm hovering btw)

I actually bought the 472 after your comparison video. Coming from a huion 420, it is so much better, mainly because of the pen. The smoothing is something you can easily get used to but still I prefer the 472 now.

I bought the 472 earlier this month and so far I can say that I don't have to worry at all about the pen nibs, since I hover and I don't drag. And I can also say that it feels really good on Osu! And that I couldn't be any more satisfied. I don't see any cons between this and the 480 seeing as if you are worried about pen nibs you can hover, or you can get a cover.

Just ordered a 472 yesterday. It will be my first tablet.

if durability is a concern for you, i'd say stick to the 480. if friction can wear off the nibs this faster because of the texture, a flat surface certainly beats all in terms of having a decent build.

I recently began to play Osu! with a tablet (today) and I use an XP-pen G640. Anyway, good video!

I had both of them in front of me as I found a cheap used 480 shortly after ordering a 472 but decided to return the 472. The build quality on both of them is awesome and for me it came down to the pen as well. I prefer the 480s pen as it just feels much better with that slightly grippy bottom part opposed to the cheap feeling pen of the 472. I wanted a new tablet specifically for the pen as I used a XP-Pen G430s before. Gameplay wise the slightly bigger and heavier pen didn't really make a difference but my grip felt a bit safer because of that rubber texture. I'm hovering with a relatively small area (57mm wide, 16:9) btw.

Official pen nibs from wacom for this gen is generally wear down quickly, but if u buy some other brand pen nibs it wont wear down that quickly if u decided to not use it with no cover

I bought a 472 three years ago and I switched to a 471 because I liked the surface and I use makeshift nibs so thats not an issue for me,but the pen was just absolutely disugsting for me. It shines up with use since its all just ABS plastic and it has no rubber grip and its also too small for my hands and too light. When I switched to the 471 like a year ago (you can take this with a grain of salt),instantly felt much more comfortable with the pen and I've never had sweat/grip-slip issues ever after which just made osu a much more fun experience in general.

my sister got a ctl-472 as a gift about a year or two ago. she doesn't use it often so i borrowed it. very pog tablet and i use a playing card as a tab cover since my playing area is small asf. the pen nibs wear out fast tho. i've almost gone through about 9 or 10 nibs now but that might be due to me being a drag player.

I just got my 472 and it feels drastically different than my old tablet (Veikk A30) and I'm starting to get used to the 472.

I use the Wacom intuos S (CTL-4100). It is a great Alta key for osu as it is very accurate and low input lag. However I feel like I need more space for my hand so it isn’t constantly on the corner of the tablet. I would get the 480 but that’s discontinued so I’ll be getting the 472 next.

I use a XP pen star g430s really small tablet but works really well for osu! it may just be my tablet but every once in a while it teleports to the top left of my screen during gameplay every 5 seconds and it effects my performance a ton

i started off with mouse and was able to beat nagareboshi- amatsuki (6star) and finally decided to get a tablet. i didnt wanty to go all out nor did i actually know anyone who knew a good tablet to use so i went with huion h420 and i litterally bought it cause it has 420 in it XD honestly not a bad option for starting off. im still using it paired with TabletDriver GUI, (60mm area) i started off with a freakin 12mm area cause it felt right? i think? and later found i needed to get it closer to 50 for more acc. after training with these setting for like 5 months i am finally back to where i was with mouse and just on the cusp of completing a 7 star (im soo close to beating neverland - the peggies or scarlet stars- booty loose) but am actually looking for something better. nice video. even tho im mad late. you cleared up some confusion i had about wacoms tablet (other than the exalted 480) and whether or not it was worth. thank you. nice video. i love your content btw

i have had this for a couple months and it is amazing

Its tough cause my previous tablets (veikk s640 and xp pen g640) both have a smoother looking cursor due to the higher report rate than the wacom 472 (133 rps on 472 as opposed to 200+ rps on veikk and g640) but the wacom has by far the best responsiveness out of the 3. The report rate is a shame though since the 472s cursor looks a tiny bit choppy on my 165hz monitor

I got this tablet a few weeks ago, and after like one day of use, the area I use for osu became glassy smooth. It wears down really quick (on small areas, mine is like 1 square inch).

I use a Wacom CTL-4100WL works amazing once you use the hawku drivers

just got my 472 and it's my first wacom. deffo better hardware than my xp-pen, but damn that surface really eats away at the nib. there was no choice but to order a tablet cover

I've been using a ctl4100 for about 2 years, I love it for the most part. The hover distance is my only gripe, it's mostly fine but it could be better.

the big issue is also ive been looking for quiet some time but cant seem to find a new pen for the ctl-480 so i gues getting a newer model also helps with that issue

I use the classic h420... cuz i needed a tablet ASAP and went on the most cheapest that i could find. Converting to USD it was like ~$20. I'm using for some months now, he is doing nice i guess, and playing Osu with it is... decent I supose. But I'll try to come back as soon as I buy another tablet and be able to compare, and it will probably be the Wacom 472 since is not that expensive rn
