This is going to be most my most exciting content project for 2022. Spilt Milt Productions has become synonymous with quality Kokanee content and I plan on going even bigger and better with this project. In 2022 I will be highlighting nine of the best Kokanee fisheries in the lower 48 United States with the Kokanee Across America project. This project will result in 12 to 15 videos highlighting our best and unique Kokanee fisheries.

I’m excited for this series. Just bought my hat, you’re already almost sold out. This could almost become a yearly series. If you want other unique Kokanee fisheries, look into lake Pend Oreille, which is not far from you, here in North Idaho. The Kokanee size isn’t huge, but if you time it right, you could catch Kokanee one day, then catch a 15-25lb rainbow that eats the Kokanee the next day. This time of year is when the big rainbow season is just kicking off, end of September through the month of October. Just a thought for a future video. Wish I had a place on the lake or I’d offer to accommodate you. Closest accommodations I could offer are a half hour away at our RV park.

I used to live in Hope and fished Gerards and Kokanee on LPO. I hope to make it over there to film this fall

@@spiltmilt really?! Cool. Well you know all about it then. Would be fun to see you do an episode out here. My kids would freak out knowing you are fishing the same lake we do. They caught a bunch of Kokanee two weekends ago on lures they put together using split shot drop shot hooks from your videos.

Thats so cool! Cant wait for you to make a video on strawberry reservoir! I went out there on my kayak earlier this year. I was going for kokanee but i didnt catch any! Cant wait to see the size of kokanne you will catch at strawberry!

I’m in. Your channel was the single best resource for me getting way way better with Montana summer kokanee. You helped me fill the summer smoker twice, share Kokanee with people who had never tasted it, help four kids and one adult catch their first Kokanee, and help two kids catch their first FISH. Just bought a hat. This is the most underrated fishing channel and your subscription should be 170k instead of 17k. Learned so much from your channel. Love the accuracy and scientific analysis in the videos. We have a large kayak fishing community in the SF bay area. Facebook Fresh and Salt kayak fishing.

It's funny that today with nothing to do I took my wife for a ride to check out twin lakes in CT for kokanee's and to find there kayak access launch. North end by the way. Than set down and here you talk about it n your video. Season opens in May , maybe I'll see you there, from NY

Hello Tyler I see you are looking at coming to calif for kokes. If you have time I would really enjoy if you have time to stop and fish Lake Tahoe. I woul really like to see what you think of the lake. South shore in late July and august are prime times. Thanks again for your content very good info.

Sounds good Berryessa does have bigger kokes, not always easy to find. Nice trout and king salmon. I don’t know much about Whiskeytown never fished it. Hope your trip goes well, looking forward to your videos…

I love western Montana lakes and many have robust Kokanee population but few consistently produce fish in the 18"+ range

There are many. I would really like to see Kokanee in some of the lakes below Potholes to give Tri-cities anglers more opportunity.

Hey, love watching your videos, and never have anything critical to say about them, but something has kinda bugged me for awhile, so I checked into it. First, though, I fish a lake here in Oregon, called Paulina lake. It's pronounced "Paul eye na". When I heard you talking about Paulina Peak tackle, (you pronounce it as "Paul ee na") it just didn't seem right. Well, sorry, but I was correct. Got it straight from Paulina Peak tackle. 🤣🤣🤣 Keep up the awesome videos!! PS. There is also a Paulina(Paul eye na) Peak next to the lake here in Oregon! 😄👍

@@spiltmilt At times it can be,….San Pablo area of the bay seems more reliable, Petaluma & Napa river/delta areas as well. Oyster Point across the bay from the rockwall also produces halibut in the bay. New Hogan Lake was crazy on fire for stripers a month ago, but, our lake water levels are at record lows and the pressure has been intense. Looking forward to 2022!
