That forest looks so mysterious, I wish Ordon village hadn’t changed the original game, honestly it looks way more mystical and special. Those trailers and the beta horseback battle with OoT’s Link voice always gives me a very cool feeling of awe

It was the first Zelda game with ''realistic graphic'' at that time and i remember how amazing it was. I got this game for christmas 2006 for my Gamecube . Remember , during that time we never had a Zelda game with these type of graphics before . It was a dream comes true , I was not controlling a character , i was Link. The trees , the sunlight ,everything feel so real. I know how dumb it may sound but back in the days for us it was a huge deal. I still missed the realistic look of Twilight princess for the Zelda series. I don't hate cel-shading but i personally think it completely breaks the immersion. Faron and Ordonna are my favorite provinces in TP .

I was hoping in Twilight Princess HD we were going to get beta content like Wind Waker HD. Sadly, it ended up being just a higher res remaster with it's only new features being the Cave of Ordeals and Hard Mode mirror mode. Twilight Princess deserved a sequel and hopefully one day we may get one after the Sequel to BOTW.

The fact that they cut something just because they thought people like the demo is a big shame because I think most people would have preferred the bigger open and denser Forest... I'm honestly kind of butt hurt now ...

Your evidence is weak and inconclusive. Just because Ordon Village was designed for E3 doesn't made they had some completely different village there before, let alone this specific one from OoT.

When I first saw the screen shots and first trailer of twilight princess, I thought it was a grown up link from majoras mask after he returned from his adventures.

great video Jesse, lots of screenshots and clips I've never seen, thanks for putting together so much information about the early days of Twilight Princess, its truly facinating, looking at these alternate versions of Zelda games always leaves me with such a strange feeling, it's quite sad thinking about how different it could have been, all the cut content, unused enemies mechanics, scenes etc. But Im also sure they did the best they could, and most likely we got the better game in the end. But who knows? haha, thats the part that will always haunt me, we'll never know.

I remember being so excited looking at those beta forest photos. I even printed them out and used them as my birthday invitations and had a zelda tp birthday.

Add purple poisoned fog to the open forest footage and we almost have a portion of the actual game.

This game I followed religiously in the magazines before it even got a name. I have an Electronic Gaming Magazine from the early 2000s with a screenshot of a sasquatch like creature in the forest. I can't remember if that made it into the game but I've never seen it covered.

I’ve always wondered why the warp songs aren’t in the order the game wants you to get them. The normal ocarina songs are as they go: Zelda’s Lullaby, Epona’s Song, Saria’s Song, Sun’s Song, Song of Time and then lastly, Song of Storms.

Personally I think they should take all this unused content from time constraints and not enough for the tech at the time to pull off and put it into a remake. Not all this remaster/re-port BS they've been doing. But that's just my opinion.

While I think ordon might’ve not been an original idea an we could’ve got the kokiri forest. I personally think it doesn’t make sense for the kokiri forest to be located where ordon is. I think if the forest temple is the deku tree that the kokiris forest would be the area right before the path leading up to the temple and would further line up with the lost woods being off to the left there. I think ordon even though not an idea yet would’ve always been located outside of hyrule just to the south of kokiri forest even in ocarina of time.
