Our final day on Oahu was only a half day, but we made the most of it! We hiked to Koko Head at sunrise, went to the beautiful Halona Beach Cove and Makapu'u Lookout, laid out at Waimanalo Beach, and ate tacos!

Nice to see 2 people like you who come to here and are willing to adventure out & see the real Hawaii, the land, the sea, the culture & the food. Whenever you guys come back, hike kuliouou ridge. Not nearly as crowded not extremely strenuous and the views will beat anything that was seen on this trip. A good 2ish hour round trip hike.🤙

Your trip was awesome. I was stationed in Kaneohe Bay for four years when I served in the US Marine Corps. The wife and I went back in 2015. Proposed to her on the beach in Waikiki under the evening fireworks. We have a little girl now and plan to introduce her to the aloha spirit soon.

Alright...this is so ridiculous. I live on this island of Oahu and been here for the past 40 years (born and raised) but after watching all of your videos, I haven't done Koko Crater, Lulumahu Falls or Lanikai Pillboxes. I've been around the world including Egypt, Isreal. Greece, Turkey, etc etc but have not even explored my very own back yard!!! Thanks for inspiring me you guys!!

I went to Hawaii and ended up spending six years there! If you get a chance, next time go to the botanical garden inside Koko Crater. It takes up the whole crater! Amazing! It does get quite hot in the crater in the middle of the day.

@@AdventuresofAplusK Just finished watching your day 2. Great vlogs. Leaving for Oahu on June 7 to go back for 10 days. I also used to live there in Lanikai right in front of the pillbox trail. I go back whenever I can. Thankfully it has been fairly often. When I go now I stay in Hawaii Kai at the Aloha Bed and Breakfast up on one of the mountains not far from where you did the hard climb up Koko Crater. It's a little like living there again. I love your videos! I lived in Oahu in 2018 and watching you guys do KoKo Head made me very nostalgic. I've been up there a bunch of times and that bridge is ALWAYS the worst part

Next visit y’all need to do Kaena Point coastal hike from Mōkule’ia. Lots of tide pools to take dips in on the way when you get hot, and monk seals and albatross. Another one is Ehukai Pillbox hike. Y’all have so much left to do on O’ahu so y’all come back! Mahalos for good video content.

whoa, you went to alejandros in Kalihi Valley ---tucked so out of the way in residential Kalihi Valley. Think due to a food review a few years ago, they became much more famous to a lot of people!

We loved it!!! We are always looking for cool taco shops and found it via Yelp and knew we had to go, especially since it seemed more local than touristy. We met some awesome locals there too, which was the cherry on top!

Definitely stay in Kona. If the lava is flowing you should hike to see it at all cost. a really good hike is Makawavena beach. Its one of the better beaches I've seen on the big island. It's like a mile across a lava field and the bumpy drive though. Waipio valley is another amazing place.

I like the cave.. where is that? I live here in Oahu for 30 years but I haven't explore that much yet. Busy raising four boys . Now I have time for my self since they are grown up now . I love hiking too. I hiked Koko Head, Makapu'u and planing to hike Diamond Head.. I hike Waimea Valley.. drive around the Island with my friends. It's fun. We definitely going to explore that cave..

It was an intense hike! Hawaii is the BEST! We miss it so much and hope to make it back there. We aren't really "lay out on the beach all day" kind of travelers, but we love it because there is so much hiking and other activities too!

Oh man, you have to come back soon, you missed the Pearl Harbor, Hanauma Bay, there's also hiking trail up there, every Friday night is a fireworks night in Waikiki, best to stay at Ilikai, also you need to hike at Ka'ena Point...

We miss it so much! We are heading on a two week road trip from Seattle to Texas next! We will be spending time in Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas and going to 6 national park. We are SO excited-it should be a lot of fun!

Here’s the pair I have! amzn.to/2U2zUgz Warning: they can be a bit of a pain to adjust at first, but the nice thing is they are fully adjustable so you can make them fit your feet perfectly. It just takes a few tries!

island Brew is located just to the right of the shopping center's Pizza Hut...straight ahead when you come into the shopping center which is about 2 miles west of Koko Head Trail/Koko Head District Park.

Is it not scary to do it in the dark? Coz i wanted to do the sunrise as well. But scared to walk in the dark lol!

The dark definitely makes it a little scarier, but it’s not too bad! It helps to know that there aren’t bears or other super scary animals like we have here in Washington haha. Just make sure to bring a headlamp or a flashlight so you can see!

You guys totally missed the famous Stairway to Heaven. It's way better than Koko Head Crater. That may give you a perfect excuse to go back to Oahu. ;)

We’ve always read that that hike is illegal and fines are issued to hikers on occasion. But we don’t need a reason to go back 🤪

Eternity Beach (made famous due to the 1950s movie From Here to Eternity with Burt Lancaster) has signs posted by the parking lot that one is NOT to go down...it's prohibited...nearest life guard station is at Sandy Beach (east of this area)...dangerous waves...two military guys drowned due to walking on the rocks a few years ago, when they should have known better (well, maybe they didn't but just ignored the several signs like many others) of course one was trying to rescue the other, but both were unsuccessful..

That’s extremely sad and we 110% agree that no one should swim there. Those waves are crazy! 😳 We researched this cove quite a bit on some reputable looking Hawaii websites beforehand didn’t read anything about the beach being prohibited, so thank you for clarifying and we sincerely apologize if we broke any rules! We are big rule followers, so we always hate to know if we did something wrong. 😔
