I'm no longer who I was in High school or college, nor are there people who were my friends, but we hold on to who we were more than who we are. So you end up trying too hard to be the old you or expect the old them and at the end we feel empty cause we poured out of cups that had little to give. Embrace your growth and other people's then reevaluate where you stand. You will be less disappointed and feel less empty after interacting with them. Come into your growth and find new people who will welcome it or shift people's positions accordingly. To add to the women issue, try to have women as friends first and in general.
