Girls with broad shoulders at my school were called ugly and linebackers. Its a joke made in 90s movies constantly. My own male family members would say it about women on tv. Every girl I’ve ever met is insecure about their shoulders and arms because of it. I think it’s great that you’ve never cared and don’t associate with men who do, but don’t project how you feel onto every man. It may not be intentional but it’s very invalidating to women. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not true. You’re not a woman so you don’t see what we see, because you’re not living that experience. Which is fine, just accept it and be open to that concept. Not knowing is fine, but refusing to believe something because you don’t see it when you’d have no way to unless you’re a woman is another thing.
