Hello Guys, in this video, i have covered a very beautiful tourist destination of Munnar and that is Kolukkumalai - World's Highest tea Plantations. This place is a must visit in Munnar and if you are planning your trip to Munnar, then must include this place in your Munnar itineary. About Kolukkumalai: Kolukkumalai is a small village/hamlet in Bodinayakanur Taluk in the Theni district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is home to the highest tea plantations in the world with the tea grown here possessing a special flavour and freshness because of the high altitude. It is situated near Munnar.
Kolukkumalai is only accessible by jeeps because of the rugged terrain. Walking up this route is not permitted. Jeeps are available from the town of Suryanelli and it takes you about 2 hours to reach the drop-off point after which you trek! The trek is about 1.5 km and is an easy one to do.

Though this location is situated in the Tamil Nadu but can only be accessible from Kerala State.

Kolukkumalai Sunrise Jeep Safari Charges: INR 4000, i travel with group of other 5 people, so the fares got divided among 6 people including me.

This place is pure heaven. You can also opt for Meesapulimala trek in Munnar. It is the second highest peak in South India. The trek is super beautiful with rolling hills and rhodo valleys. At the highest point, you can witness many peaks including Kolukkumalai peak and Tipada Malai and has similar spectacular sunrise views.

Its always delightful to see a sunrise. Have witness one of the best beautiful sunrise through your lens. How beautiful the sunrise is ! 👌👍💞Those colors and clouds at the horizon just too perfect with mountains. Its seems floating above the clouds in some other world. Kolukkamalai Peak which is part of the 2nd highest peak range of western Ghats (Meesapulimala). Really enjoyed your bumpy ride via the tea estate, the mind-blowing scenic views. Hope those bumpy ride does not caused body ache.. ..The lush green and picturesque view is really a treat to the eyes. You narrate each moment so well . I have been enjoying your Kerala series so much . Its not the destination you end up but Memories you create along the way . Keep exploring and keep loving nature the way you do. Please come to Jatayu earth center near Trivandrum and world's biggest bird sculpture.This is the place where Ravan fight with Jatayu, while he took Sita on way to lanka.

@@HeenaBhatia Some of other interesting places on south of kerala are Varkala, Kovalam,Poovar and Azhimala beaches and all these are in Trivandrum.Azhimala Beach become famous recently because of Shiva statue at sea shore.Many tourist take a boat ride through poovar lake and towards Golden beaches.Some of way looks as if you are going through Amazon rain forest.
