The hymn that was sung at my own confirmation. As far as I know, it has not been translated into Norwegian before now. I have dedicated it to the memory of Jon Blamire, who died as I was translating the Norwegian text. The fiirst two verses were done on the 16th June 2024, and Jon passed away in the early hours of the 17th. There is no other person more worthy than Jon, who "shone" with the light of the Holy Spirit, to be remembered with a hymn that not only speaks, but addresses the Third Person of the Holy Trinity directly.
May Jon rest in peace, and may the light and peace of the Holy Spirit, that the verses of Come, Thou Holy Paraclete describe, now shine however poorly through the prism of my translation, so that Norwegians too can experience Him in Jesus Christ.
