I myself follow Komal since a very long time, she just tried to point out how her middle class audience feels neglected now. Komal as an influencer is highly misunderstood. First of all the idea of an "influencer" was created by us as an audience. Her content is more about aesthetics and inspiration for creating outfits, not creating outfits to copy paste. It's more about a mood board in a video format...like a pinterest board... She draws inspiration from western styles as well as indian aesthetics....yes u could argue it's less fashionable and more being skinny enough to make it look good but again it's more about inspo than just looking good...I would recommend people see more of her content on insta and see some of her more modest and indian inspired stuff if you're searching for the old komal. She's a good person. The video at the beginning was a rare occasion. AND she doesn't just block everyone she blocks out all the rude and threatening people. As for her being a changed person, she was a baby then,she's a lady now. and FYI when she was at popxo she would hang out with dolly (singh) even then and now when she's here, guess what? they're still friends. so, she hasn't changed, u just don't agree with her anymore so u expect her to never change her content,never grow,never actually explore fashion then sorry, I would rather u leave my fan base even if you've been here since the beginning.

I used to follow her since popXO days and on the early days of her channel and I used to defend her. I will still defend her right to wear whatever she wants and against people who say _she_ can’t wear her choice of clothes. However, in countries like ours, it is not at all practical or relevant to wear what she shows in her videos and I don’t even mean so just because of societal expectations.

Maybe her parents are strict. All families are not so modern. Advising someone to move out is not good. You do not even know her or her parents personally. From her name, it seems she is south Indian. South Indian families are very different from that of the north. While studying in Bangalore, I have realized that most of them prefer traditional outfits.

But also even if I would have it is not a bad advice or anything, if she is an adult she should be the one deciding her clothes not her parents not anyone else. And moving out is very normal. Let's not normalise controlling the girls on what to wear in basis of their caste or religion or belief or anything. It is not a justification. But it's not my problem or concern. Very well said!!! Komal pandey is literally bullshit nowadays. Being a fashion " influencer " , you influence other people to wear what you show in your videos. And she, wearing bra along with "Dhoti " thinks that everyone can wear that & she is doing something very creative. But I think fashion is not only about wearing clothes in a weird sense, but is about styling yourself in a unique, comfortable & beautiful way. She really needs to improve her content.

I agree with a bunch of stuff mentioned in this video about how the relevance is lost in terms of creating content for your original target audience. But I think when it comes to body positivity, everybody can have a say in it or mention if they want to, irrespective of whether they have had surgeries or fillers. It helps create an environment where every body type and every choice the person makes on their body is respected.

I totally pity her. She needs therapy, counseling and some real love. According to her interviews she had this body shaming issues around her since childhood which it seems did really bad to her. Though she pretends to not care abt it anymore but her currently acquired plastic looks and a sudden evolution into a "fashion" bomb which actually is not so likeable, speaks volumes about her growing insecurities about her. She should get rid of them if she understands that all this body shaming is best to be ignored. She was such an entertainer and cutee when she was normal herself. God bless her!

Being body positive and confident in your body can be slightly different. She worked hard to lose weight and keeps her diet in check.. one can say if she was promoting body positivity then she should've been confident with her past weight as well. For lots of people it comes with controlling how your body looks rather than accepting it as it is

She's an influencer and she makes content for people, talking and telling about fashion is her job, so if a person asks why are you overdressed or why are you wearing coats in summer outfit or bikini in winter outfit, she's supposed to answer or atleast try to justify the outfit, suppose I'm middle class girl with no fashion sense, idk what thought might have have gine behind putting tougher a particular outfit, I would need answers or atleast an idea why this particular thing goes with it or not. You can love your body and still get get work done. The problem lies in denying it. Had she acknowledged her lip job,she would've gained a lot more respect. But instead,she just treated her followers like idiots and went on and about her business,which is disrespectful. Being said that, I've nothing against her dressing style. Well, Komal's style is definitely not 'wearable', and neither it is meant to be wearable. She has her own edgy style which is more popular and relatable in Western countries, but not here. I'm used to watching fashion styles and outfits of American youtubers and wearing such clothes are really common there, because of which I wasn't surprised when Komal changed and posted these. What I intend to say is people's fashion choices changes over the years, and if her current fashion choices makes her happy then let her be 'herself', instead of criticizing her for her own choices.

@@khushi-4900 That's the stupidest thing I've read in written form. Just for the sake of someone else (the audience here), one cannot simply change whom they truly wanna be. Komal started KZfaq to showcase 'who she is', not to become 'what others want', and the latter is highly toxic. If the audience simply switches up to something they find more relatable; it automatically eliminates unwanted subscribers thus making Komal remain with 'her type' of subscribers who can encourage who she is.

Talking about her fashion sense as fashion student: Her clothes are usually colorful and she pairs it well with other colors and personally I have learnt a bit about color mix and match from her videos but I think that's it Usually we think wearing what celebs wear will make us look rich which is not at all true the truth is how well can we carry these things or how can we style I do agree komal wears a bit revealing clothes I ain't got any problem with it but if I were to wear what komal wears then I wouldn't look so good Maybe its the weight Talking about body positivity: It's good that she talks alot about body positivity but then she lost a lot of weight and now she sounds a bit obsessively about it like she might be going through smth Is she a fashionista or is she just skinny?
