The engine in that little Komatsu isn't even trying. That isn't much more than an idle. He could have removed that dirt berm at the end and kept going easily.

Dozers can pull incredibly hard plus, that one had the right grousers (tracks) for that type of soil.

quite a fast travel speed, I worked on a few Komatsus in the 1970's they had Cummins engines, the 855 cu inch n ntc clean exhaust and heavily muffled too, nice,

Pay attention 3:17 on, reason he has no trouble and probably why he dropped his blade is the pan (the part on the sled that digs in to slow you down) Isn't even touching the ground, he can't get his rippers low enough. So he probably dropped his blade to try and get that to make it "harder"

You better build a one monster of a sled that has drop down rippers and sled keeps diving deeper but I think a small dozer like a 3 or4 with ripper so he could pick up sled pan!

It’s not called a “sledge”.The item is called a “sled.”A sled is used on a farm to haul farm implements from one place to another.My grandfather used a small sled in the surrounding neighborhood to carry the plows on.UNTIL, his newly purchased pony, inexperienced,decided he had as much of that sled.The sled, pony, and all went very fast down the road, by our house, into the field, sled parts being thrown all along the road.

I guess that's ""Y"" thay use Dozers. to pull scrapers that have no power themselfs. Great great job Komatsu, I have the D- 65EX only thing it's about 1: 2/5 the Scale. You just can not beat the power of Dozers..........

@nordhorny cummins makes their engine what you told me SAA6D114E-6 literally that tells me that its a turbo, air to air cooler, 6 cylinder, inline engine, 114 diameter pistons, meets EPA regulations, and version 6. Thats cummmins engine code

Hell I could that with a gin truck pick up front of sled and just carry it down there! You just gave pullers a cheating idea just mount a winch back there and winch it up! Or hyd hitch that raises!

Ig ya notice he got his rippers lightly engaged. Even though tha is a heavy machine it wouldve juust spun out but with rippers slightly engaged that gave him enough downforce for good traction especially in that tacky red clay

Rippers are low to to keep front of sled low but it didnt work. Easy pull with front of sled off the ground but I'm pretty sure thst dozer would have handled it anyway.
