There's a LOT more cards that reference Gradius then what you showed... From various enemies like Solar Flare Dragon to various Ships and weapons like "Jade Knight" and the cards related to "Flint". Even discounting Gradius's retrain, "Victory Viper XX03", there are still cards that directly support Gradius itself like "Power Capsule" and "Gradius's Option" that you could have brought in alongside it.

Shocked that he didn't mention any of the Vampire cards and how some of them clearly reference Castlevania. There's a card literally called Vampire Hunter, or Vampire Killer in Japanese, that's a handsome warrior monster wielding a whip, a blatant reference to the Belmonts and their signature weapon. I believe some the art for some of the Vampire cards, like The Zombie Vampire, was actually done by Castlevania's lead artist.

Mystical Ninja has always been one of my favourite SNES games so I always enjoyed seeing these related cards. Would be genuinely brilliant to see support for Goemon and his companions in the modern game.

While it's not an actual video game, it's always fun remembering that the World Chalice monsters, and the like 7+ archeytpes that cross over, are basically an RPG game. The hero and villain tropes are there, and even the in-universe story is basically an RPG plot with repeated story beats.

one of 5 gradius deck users here, and there are more spaceships to highlight, notably that are level 4 light/machine 1200 atk. Latest one is Vic Viper T301, works well with inferno reckless summoning. Also, gradius has OTK capability on going second 😊 love the "archetype"

Vampires with Castlevania is probably way too popular for it to be categorized as "unknown". But it's another homage to another of Konami's most prominent IP

You forgot all the castlevania references like vampire hunter (and half of the vampire arquetype as a whole) and the rest of the konami gradius and other spaceships games like flint lock lord british alphard etc

Yu-Gi-Oh referencing non Konami properties for example A Wild Monster Appears!! Reference Pokemon's Iconic A Wild Pokemon appears

There's also several alter cards to the Sasuke Samurai monster, referring to how Sasuke, in the Mystical Ninja games, is actually an android, and there's several copies of him.

Space Mambo also has its other reference in Yugioh - "Blue Thunder T45" from booster PTDN. Which apparently has same ATK/DEF with Mambo because its origin, Thunder Cross, actually was ported to MSX in a different alias "Space Manbow" due to some direction changes.

It feels weird and kinda sad to see all those IPs slaughtered by Konami being referenced in Yugioh. Some of them, even getting exclusive original stuff like XX03(debatable - at least it existed, lore only though), Majioshaleon, HANZO.. I remember certain Tag Force games cramming all those Konami IP related cards, even things like Nanobreaker(obscure PS2 Konami game) in one pack and mark the price "573 DP"

Somehow, Yugioh had a Venom Snake years before an actual Venom Snake showed up in Metal Gear.

I believe Delta Tri is also part of the Gradius cards, being one of the Gaiden bosses during the Boss Rush scenario. The fire dragons it releases are the Trigon card as well.

This is a more applicable place for my last video suggestion, so I'll just copy my Unknown side of Yugioh idea from before. You already mentioned in Pharaoh and Kaiba's duel against Darts both Pharoah and Darts pulled out cards that prevented them from losing when they ran out of lifepoints. But there's more times where cards like this were made for the anime and manga series! For example, Kalin Kessler from 5Ds, in both the anime and the manga, had cards that prevented him from losing when he ran out of lifepoints, both tied to his Infernity deck. There was also a time in the GX manga where Aster Phoenix dueled Jaden and used a card that gave him an extra 100 lifepoints when Jaden hit him for lethal damage. I just think it's interesting that the anime and manga series is willing to reuse this effect when I'm not sure if an effect like this even exists in the real game.

Cyber commander references contra, overdrive references jackal, and the penguin knight and soldier cards come straight out of parodius. Also cyber stein is a reference to kid Dracula's take on the Frankenstein monster.

This could definitely use a part 2 with even more Gradius references and all the Castlevania ones.

So, funnily enough, Konami made a game called Otomedius Excellent that also is based on Gradius. What I didn't know, is that a lot of the monsters in the B.E.S. Archetype look incredibly similar to the heroes and villains in Otomedius Excellent. Lastly, B.E.S. Covered Core looks like the first boss in Super Stardust and B.E.S. Tetran is similar to the 2nd boss in Super Stardust. Also, you got the effect of Fuhma Wave incorrect. It doesn't destroy two monster. It only destroys 1 monster with a different name as the one you targeted with the same attribute.

Minor error with Getsu Fuhma attack wrote as 1600 instead of 1700 but great video again !

I still want to see support to the "Itsu" Monsters, and with the BES, It Will be funny to see a card that has reference to the Konami Code (that started on Gradius, that give you 30 lives, so It will be funny to see something like "gain 3000 LP").

A more subtle reference is Arcana Force EX, the Light Ruler. In Silent Hill 3, there is an extra tarot card called the Eye of the Night, said to represent the god of the cult of the town. The Light Ruler is also an extra tarot card, which has a similar aestheric of an eye in a dark body, and it embodies the power of the Light of Destruction posessing Saiou.

I was really looking forward to Vampire Hunter being mentioned. While the Vampires themselves are pretty well-known, the Hunter is part of a series of "Hunter" cards built to hunt a specific type, attribute, or archetype. Like how GB Hunter is built to hunt Gladiator Beasts by stopping their spin effects.

One would believe they would have made some ultrabusted cards as a form of self-promotion, but that didn't happen. So, kudos for the restraint, I guess.

Pretty sure Vampire Lord is a reference to Castlevania. Vampire Genesis is totally how the games go. You take down Vampire Lord, and then he turns into Genesis for the second phase. There's also that Vampire Hunter card, which is clearly a Belmont.

Definitely some missed like elemental hero solid and liquid soldier being references to mgs and like someone else said, some of the vampire cards reference castlevania. Vampire lord and genesis are almost 100% based off dracula from that series
