Same I picked up starter decks for my wife and kids. Then got 6 boosters for myself thinking I could add modern enhancements to my deck from 2004. I opened the boosters and was like well now I need something to put them in so went and got one of those new gold tins with boosters inside. After 20yrs its like the addiction never left.

I like your opening packs videos, it's so much entertaining to watch. Vaylantz is by far the most interesting archetype from this set, column mechanics + pendulum mechanics + the complexity to pilot makes the deck very unique.

Watching you open card packs is the highlight of my day! I’m looking forward to the "Vaylants" engine. I only use Pendulum cards and I’m trying to get out of playing only O-E engine (easier said than done 😅).

Loving the Droll and Anti-Spell reprints out of this set! Anti-spell Fragrance being a card that is coming up more in the meta means the reprint makes it more accessible for budget players, same with Droll & Lock Bird since the last common printing we got was in the Endymion structure deck.

I bought 2 boxes yesterday; I was able to pull most of the runick cards. The deck is very easy to build and fairly consistent from my play test so far. It’s a deck out strategy for anyone considering building it. Also, the archetype has no main deck monsters so the fusion cards are all summoned by the quick-play spells. Forbidden droplets is a must in the deck.

Labrynth looks to be a very strong trap strategy that gets to blow up boards and bring out powerful Fiends all on your opps turn to end games on the follow up

at a glance vaylantz is about spamming the board and abusing Beyond the Pendulum to break boards. some of the cards push cards in the same column into the spell trap zone, killing and spell traps in the same column. the field spells also shut off hand imperm, evenly matched, and lightning storm. they're all scale 1, so you wont really pend summon unless you combine it with another pend archetype.

The fact this deck is released on my bday the 26th is tactical in nature lbs. I'm definitely looking forward to Mamonaka the Vaylantz United. I wasn't a huge fan of pendulums but the way these move cards around the board via there effects are insane. To me this a whole new level of dueling.

My favorite is probably absolute king back jack just because its made after the master of faster of course! Also its design is super clean, with his jetpack resembling his duel runner. Also Konig Wissen is funny to me because the play mat they show on the card reminds me of your water and fire sleeves!

This looks real good. I like that they give you 3 new archetypes and counters to them in the same set. I really like seeing invader of darkness again. I only have maybe 1 copy so I need my playset to not have to worry about any forbiddens or called by the grave of any of those quick play staples. Not to mention archfiend support. Oh joy.

Been watching you a lot lately, trying to get back into yugioh after years of not playing,sadly I don't have my old cards but I have been playing master duel and managed to get to gold tier 4 in a week so that's kinda cool but my favorite newer cards would probably be frightfur fusions or I like the danger! Deck you built as far as favorite older card would be blue eyes ultimate dragon because I remember getting it from a Shonen jump Manga when I was a kid and I miss it so much

I love the Runicks from this set, they're a cool sort of control deck thats win con is deck out. They probably wont be as good as Splights but they, along with Labyrinth will be fun. There are indeed ups and downs with staples being reprinted, and I also find it hilarious that Konami releases Runick then reprints cards to counter it (Invader of Darkness and Imperial Iron Wall) xD

My favorite card is Mirror force. Holds a great place in my heart in OG yugioh. Cant tell you how many times I play my brother (He had Blue eyes starter and I had Dark Magician) and that card won me duels. Yugioh was so beloved by me but the way it devolved (2 turn duels) killed a lot of the love I had. I wish there were more OG formats around my area to play in.

Runick have some really nice art and the effects seem legit too. Huginn and muninn mean thought and memory, they are the names of Odin’s ravens so maybe they will be able to tie into the Nordic set and make a super deck

I like your videos, watching you open Yu-Gi-Oh packs is too much fun and it makes me feel like in those days I couldn't buy booster packs and watched videos about them. I'm interested in the valyants archetype since I like it's RPG boardgame-like strategy, and I like those types of games, and with the combination of Yu-Gi-Oh it's irresistible for me.

Recently came back to yugioh after my 4 year old found my old cards. Always have been a Dino fan and got dinos fury deck. Ultimate conductor tyranno straight up became my favourite card.

and, responding to your request, vaylantz summon themselves from the pendulum zones, and then move to an adjacent Main Monster zone to activate extra effects, either searching, special cummoning something else, fusion summoning the bosses from the deck, sending monsters in the main monster zone from the opponents to the spell/trap zone as continuous spells.... just some interesting removal sending monsters to the spell/trap zone instead of destroying it also has some negates and burn effects which are interesting and has a lot of space in the extra deck to summon anything, it really gets to link 4 really easily
