The Tzuyu issue really upsets me because she is just proud of her own country and she was forced to do an apology letter and she was 16 years old that time and so heartbreaking 💔 and about Momo’s diet I can’t believe she sacrificed herself to eat ice cubes for a week and exercising like that’s so unhealthy but now at least like you said she has a good connection with food now 😊 I love Twice so much and my respect for them is the highest

edited! I have learned more about this topic and I have decided that my past opinions could be offensive. I’m sorry for anyone I offended and I have learned from my mistakes :) I was just really sad how much hate tyuzu was getting because she was so young I still think it was a bit too much to drag k-idols into political stuff when all they want to do is sing and dance, but I understand now.

@@kuya_d17 some Chinese fans found it offensive cause they were most likely nationalists and believed that Taiwan still belonged to China so Tzuyu calling herself Taiwanese was like a wtf to them. It was disgusting cause Tzuyu was just innocently being proud of her country, and she was getting shit on for no reason. I will say it time and time again, Taiwan is its own country, Tzuyu is from TAIWAN, she is TAIWANESE.

I don't think anyone forced her on that diet. It was her decision. She wanted to be an idol and was willing to do anything to get there. If she wanted she could have backed out but her commitment made her do that. At that moment she proved she was worthy of becoming an idol.

Technically it was Momo's choice. Also, you're also the one who said, "Momo's DIET was extremely dangerous". In old Chinese radio it is being said that: Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Korea is being controlled and needs china's help. It's honestly stupid. Chinese can be very prideful (in a bad and good way) and probably didn't want to surrender to the Europeans and Americans (third paragraph), but still saw Korea, Taiwan, and Hongkong as relatives. And as yall may not know: China and Taiwan in the past is like "democratic and republic". In the 1900s (I think), China was under internal war between nowadays China and Taiwan. Taiwan lost, and Chinese government took the lead. That's why most Chinese people still follow the history: "Taiwan is relatives" and probably feel "betrayed" when Taiwan is trying to get induvidual. And are against of tzuyu (ziyu) saying she's Taiwanese. Explaining the first paragraph: You guys know those c-dramas of the ancient China? Those dresses, emperors etc. A funny thing is... Those stuff existed Untill 1900. (Yes, you heard me. When America was going phew phew howdy, China was still kneeling down to their emperor) That's why when America came to China, and got asked by a minor to kneel, they would be unwilling. Later on, they "bullied" China because Chinese military was weak. Sabotaged the emperor away from Beijing all the way up to Northern China. That's why China feels like Europe bullied China, and that they have been enduring the pain for a long long time. I do believe that China has a very unhealthy and incorrect understanding and leadership, but im saying that they are not bad/evil, but brainwashed by elders. For me, China is that embarrassing uncle, but at the very end, he is still my uncle. And others talking shit about my uncle, is just unacceptable... Younger Chinese generations should not avoid "china" or talk bad about them, but protect the country by simply not caring or trying to talk out. The worldwide media won't teach people my words, which is probably why the Chinese reputation is so bad. I love your humble attitude, and yes, I'm also embarrassed, but I don't hate China. China has a lot of great stuff and people (aside the government). I hate my prideful character too, always trying to be the best, but I guess that's what makes China Chinese.

The Tzuyu flag incident really upsets me. She was a 16 year old young lady representing her home country of Taiwan. Ever since that incident, she seems withdrawn. I watch old Twice episodes and interviews. Tzuyu seemed so vibrant, awkward, but also full of life and fun. Nowadays, she seems very reserved and shy. I think flag incident really traumatized her and affects her til this day. You can see where she walks on eggshells and is very cautious about what she does and says.

I agree, but at the same time you have to think about what would have happened if she didn't diet. Every hater would use that against her and bash her for it, just like how they're doing with jeongyeon right now just cause she put on a tiny bit of weight. Even tho it is unhealthy to diet in that way, I doubt she lost enough to be in an unhealthy/dangerous state. This isn't me condoning what they did, they should have made her diet in a better way, but the fact she did diet also managed to save her from getting even more hate then she already does (idek why any of them get gate tbh, but it's just how things are).

I at least think that this becomes a societal issue where women (not all) get pressured to look a certain way, to act a certain way and if you dont fit the mold then you get ostracized for being different which creates resentment and hatred and eventually repeats history all over again. My question for you is why do you think that is? Why do we have unfair expectations where women have to look pretty but the man can be fat and ugly (I hope you dont take offense with how I came across) and I know that in kpop both men and women are held to that standard but that at least to me shows the negative effects of commercialism where they expected to be dolled up for the public like eye candy and the public basically controls the kpop idols indirectly (I hope I didnt offend anyone that wasnt my intention)

I got so enraged when the Tsuyu story came up, especially with the way that left Tsuyu in pieces, imagine a whole nation mocking you, calling you names, and making every single thing they can destroy you, while you're just sixteen! and you did absolutely nothing but raise a flag. Tsuyu looked so quiet since then, the whole incident left scars in her confidence and I'm so proud of the woman that she is today, regaining her confidence back. Also Momo, I relate to this story so it breaks my heart, even more, I'm glad Bang chan was there to beg her to eat food or to comfort her. I am so happy that she regained her love for food and can now eat as to her heart contents. Although I don't like that JYP hasn't learned from that. As to how they forced Jeongyeon to lose 8kg before her coming back after her hiatus. It bothers me even more that so-called "fans" body-shame her while she's perfectly fine and gone after anxiety and even surgery.

Losing 1 pound per day is dangerous. Losing 1 kilogram per day (which is about 2 pounds) is literally twice as dangerous (pun definitely not intended as this is a very serious topic). The more extreme your dieting regiment, the more extremely your body will react to it in order to maintain homeostasis. If you’re suddenly not eating anything, your metabolism slows down to the point where nothing’s happening and your body starts breaking itself down as a last resort. And this is especially dangerous for those who are biologically female as it can interfere with the menstrual cycle and potentially cause one to stop having it if they don’t return to a healthy and sustainable lifestyle soon. These companies need to realize that crash diets aren’t healthy and there’s more than one attractive body type. Let’s look at Wonho. He used to be super thin, now he’s really well built. He’s considered attractive in both instances. There are similar standards for women. Maybe you’re not going to look like a body builder. But having a toned physique like Yeri of Red Velvet is equally as attractive as having that slimmer physique as her group mate Joy. Not everyone’s body is naturally made to be wicked thin. And as we’ve seen with a lot of idols, their body’s bounce right back to putting on a ton of weight the instant they go back to their usual diet routine. It’s not healthy. It’s not sustainable. And it’s not safe.

I am still grateful to JIHYO Daniel relationship (it was same time during that rumours spread) both of them were going through such a horrible time Daniel with the legal issues and being blacklisted by Korean industr; slave room as usual messing and making rumours about Jihyo and twice and spreading it every day since 2016 to 2020(they are still active using navel and pann etc to keep spreading fake shit about twice) although they have moved seperate ways due to reasons stated... wishing both best and thank you for caring for each other and supporting,it was hardest time for both that whole 2 years

Some people may say that Tzuyu a bit shy in front of camera. Little did they know what happened long ago just because a tiny mistake made her traumatized. But I'm happy now that our Yoda is being active and more confident now. I hope another incident like that won't happen again.

Great video, but you forgot something about Sana. You forgot to include the Instagram post that she did regarding the ending of Heisei era in Japan which made a lot or Koreans hate her. Some Knetz asked her to go back home as what she did was insensitive. But for me, there's nothing wrong with what she did. I live from another part of the world, I know. But really, Sana didn't say anything bad on that IG post.

I swear Sana is the literal definition of an angel and she is a serious empath. When Sana was getting all that hate around when Fancy was being promoted seeing people talk so bad about her I could not stand that crap. She is such an amazingly joyful person that her smile lights up the entire solar system. She is a natural beauty she is multitalented and she is a big beam of sunshine. I love all of Twice but I honestly legit feel like Sana is the heart of the group

It's really heartbreaking that they had to go through these things, they did all their best and sacrificed their time to be an idol, they deserve better.. They don't deserve to eat an ice cube for a week, to lose a loved one, to apologize for no reason, to be stalked, and they don't deserve to be mistreated. They have done so much to us already, they forced a smile for us, yet after all of that, they still get hate. I don't even know what's with TWICE's haters mind. As their fan, we should stand up for them, we should protect them, and we should stream their MVs and support them no matter what. I just pray that these girls will keep safe and that these awful and traumatic experiences won't happen again.

I think a great many of us can agree that the idol industry as a whole needs a major overhaul. And those of us who are true fans who genuinely appreciate, respect and support the idols who have been subjected to such inexcusable things have the responsibility of doing everything we can to push for such changes, and not to relent until those changes have been made.

I had a hardcore kpop phase in like 2019 and only now am I learning that Tzuyu is pronounced Chewy and not Tsu-you, also my heart goes out to Momo, that's extremely unhealthy but I'm glad she's ok now.

To preface this, I’d like to say that I listen and watch KPop as an escape from everyday life. If not for the double happiness of Twice, the all-in-us-ness of ITZY, the magic of the Radish Queens, etc…, I’d have long become a master super villain heck bent on leveling the world and subjecting all to do my bidding… muhahahahahha. *…1… Momo Less Less* Crash dieting like that is dangerous and can have permanent damage. Of course, a low body fat ratio is part of the image, and, can be achieved safely. She’s a professional and a superstar, and, it was her dedication to perfection that got JYP to expand the original 7 to 9. I trust that they would have accepted her regardless of that extreme measure. …………………………….. *…2… One World, One Tzuyu.* She was freaking 16 for g-d sakes. She clearly had no intent to promote some political agenda. Certainly there are differing opinions on how a certain area is to be recognized, but people need to keep it in perspective. The critics were just leveraging Tzuyu’s star power for their own crusade. I almost cried at jihyo and jeongyeon's part, first of all jihyo doesn't deserve that hate! Its so sad cause you can't turn anything back, jihyo must've been very very hurt.. shes the best leader and lets continue to support her and twice! The jeongyeon was also heartbreaking, who knew how hurt she must of felt when her grandmother passed, im sure shes watching jeongyeon from above being proud of her granddaughter, the loss of a family is truly one of the most heartbreaking.. The others makes me sooo mad, the stalker, the flag one.. etc. I'd rather not let my mind speak from itself
