I used and own plenty of Snap On and Matco tools. I dont have a problem using other brands. Hamilton has a good theory on the price BUT, I can buy 3 HF ratchets for $70.00, if I break one I have another ready to go, dont have to wait for the snap on truck, then, on my leisure time, maybe while driving passed a HF store, stop in and trade in the broken one. Costs nothing and dont have to wait, oh, and if I break 2 in a week, I said I could buy 3. If I break a Snap On on monday afternoon, I might have to wait until Next monday morning to get it fixed. Buy 2 sets of everything from HF and you will never be without, waiting on a Snap On truck. Or that Matco truck who dont want to warranty anything.

@@chuckmiller5763 lol I used to say the same thing with mastercraft (Canadian HF) but I’ve come to learn the hours spent going from Canadian tire to Canadian tire looking for a socket or extension you need on warranty is a lot of time and fuel spent as opposed to calling the strap on guy and if he has it that day either him meeting me at the shop or me meeting him after work and if not as soon as it shows up on order I have it as opposed to hoping the 16 year old at Canadian tire actually ordered it and wondering how many months till it shows up

I agree with virtually every thing hamilton said and recommended. His stuff is first rate. My wrenches are snap-on, ratchet a mixture of Cornwell, snap-on and Matco. The thing about good tools is they protect equipment and more importantly the technician. The cost involved with any major to, especially snap-on is the support network, it's priceless. Couple that with tools that don't destroy customer equipment and bust up a tired technicians hands and you have the biggest part of the snap-on value proposition

I couldn't agree more with every single word Hamilton said about Snap On hand tools and the amazing quality they consistently deliver from thier American workers, in American plants with American steel. I pay with a smile every time I buy one.. They are the best in the world. Unfortunately...lol ... Maybe it was that one-handed 10 year old Chinese girl who missed a solder joint on your polisher because we all know.. that sadly.. Snap On cordless power tools are not made by those same American workers, in American plants with American steel, and I don't think it's any mystery at all why you pretty much see 100% universal agreeance that Snap On hand tools are the best in the world while Snap On cordless power tools are the subject of so much debate and love/hate relationships. With the American made Snap On tools it is almost always love/love.. Snap On "PLEASE" when you rebound to take the crown back from Milwaukee do it in America like it always should have been...
@MrAnonymousRandom5 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't be so sure about the American steel part. Snap on rebrands a lot of stuff and I bet they can't vouch for all of their suppliers. The only two tool brands that I know of that openly claim to use American steel are Wright tool and Urrea, which happens to be Mexican. This is the first time I've heard this claim and if Snap on were open about it I would have heard about it already.

Also as far as cost, I'm sure snap on does an evaluation and factor in what they anticipate warranty breakage will cost them, and that cost is factored in as well. That said, once you've bought from the truck or have background testimony, just buy used. I've never had a problem getting warranty coverage once my rep was established. I have no qualms about letting someone else take the brand new price hit while I take the used price benefit. When that tool breaks, I still get a new one.

I like the square hard handle screwdrivers much more than the newer Instinct screwdrivers. I find the Instinct handles to be too thick for my hand and harder to grip and use. I'm average size so I concluded they were made for bigger guys. The hard handle screwdrivers are nearly indestructible and clean up easily. The Instinct plastic is softer and gets gouged more easily and doesn't clean up as well. Neither screwdriver type rolls when set down. Proof that the hard handle screwdrivers are superior is Snap-On brought them back. When has than happened before?

I'll leave ol Snappy to the automotive mechanics since Snap-On is shoved down their throats with the ASE certs. When you're ready to fix some serious machines; planes, industrial, commercial... Very few care about the Snap-on truck. Yes, your Bowing 747's are fixed by more Harbor freight tools than you'd like to imagine. I use Husky tools where I can. They almost never break, they perform very well, and I exchange them no questions asked while enjoying a cheese burger in under 15 minutes, not 2 to 4 weeks. I was 15 when I seen that and was sold on quality tools. The only ratchets/wrenches/sockets other than snap-on I'll buy is matco I've got 3/8 sockets sets I bought when I was 20 years old I'm 38 now still have those 4 sets of sockets I've cracked a couple over the years using them on inpacts I feel that's expected when using crome sockets with an inpact. Matco wrenches are as good as snap-on and are a little less $$$ like .50-.75 cent less lol. As for the ratchets snap-on has the best by fare matco's are the next best and the rest are junk I don't care what anyone says... and he'll no the harbor fake are not better your not a mechanic if your trying to tell me that. Mac's won't last a week you'll be getting it fixed the next time you see the mac man craftsman also junk. grearwrench better than mac,craftsman,harbor fake but still shit. ..

LOL 13:35 is some really creative ‘ciphering and justification. That’s how we make the math make sense to us, but it’s never as fiscally sound when it’s said out loud. I think if we gave him a few more minutes he could’ve explained how buying Snap-on actually left you with more cash when you step off the truck. Hamilton is a legend.

In this video you need to award Bill (Wild Bill) best supporting actor for his roll shoplifting scene! And Hamilton needs to be in the credits as you technical advisor. I was going say that the MG325 had a special Ext. on it that gave a little extra edge kinda like the heavy wall Honda crank bolt socket that lisle sells. But I thought you wouldn't buy that story or just say I'm full of Sh!t. But anyway this was a very well done episode of Snap-on Friday for shore.

You buy snap on one time as long as nobody steals your snap on tool it's a lifetime tools I had my tools stolen and had to buy tools fast so I could work and went harbor freight and parts house tools some was ok but most was trash the stuff like steering wheel pullers the bolts strip out three jaw pullers are trash they slip off under pressure the gauges are not accurate so my snap on and matco guy cut me some deals and kept my payments down and let me get everything I needed so I'm a loyal customer to them for looking out for me

I'm All About Anything That Is Milwaukee Fuel Series Battery Powered Tools As My Favorite But Snap-On Is My Favorite Choice Of Tools In General But Matco, Mac, Even A Lot Of Cornwell Even Though Gearwrench And Craftsman Have Good Stuff... I Personally Have Quite A Few Irwin And Irwin-Vise-Grip Brand Tools Along With Channel-Lock Brands Of Hand Tools And Socket Sets That Have Been Flawless And I Use The Heck Out Of Them At Least 3 To 4 Days A Week Every Week

Now I use Wright,SK, & so forth but harbor freight has a no ? Ask return & replace policy at least here in Indiana.. I can see the driving and gas point but your loosing $$ just as well waiting on your Snappy dealer say It breaks on Monday 🤷🏼♂️ your loosing $$$ all week Bc remember that tool makes ya $$ right? So idk ya I know he’s a salesman and yes I’m a buy AMERICAN 🇺🇸 as much as I can but I see the harbor freight point of view for some ppl and some tools.. anyway love the vids!

No diss on Harbor Freight but it's simply not worth it for me. My closest HF is 50 miles away and if I have to warranty something, I wait till I have to be near that area to swap it out. The breaker bar busted on the 2nd use and the ratchet wrench lasted 2 times as well. I went to using SK and Snap On ratchets because my Craftsman ones kept stripping or breaking. I have bunches of them that are broken that Lowe's will not warranty...

My "Friday" was yesterday so I'm a day into my weekend ahead all y'all! Did you hear about Harbor Freight introducing a tool truck to sell their mechanics tools and tool storage products from to come around to the shops and dealers?
