I'm tamizh. I lived in Kolkata for a year and a half 30 years ago... 1993.... I still speak fluent Bengali and cook almost all Bengali vegetarian dishes in ""mustard oil "".... I love love love it.... And this one is my all time favourite.... I used to visit Dakhineswar temple where i used to voraciously gobble up this mutter kachori and aloor dum to such an extent I used to question myself whether my visit to Dakhineswar is the love of the divine mother or the kacoris.... I asked Her... She gave a genuine divine laugh.... And yes, like you it still brings tears to my eyes.... @bong eats.... I'm making that brinjal in curd sauce today... You are equally divine and thank you very much

Although it's been nearly 6 years and both channels have come a long way, I'd like to say a thank you for crediting my sister Pampa Di, which I'm sure she has done too, (Shymali Sinha of Bengal Platter erstwhile Foodie's Hut) for the baking paper and pre-cook hack. I didn't have much need to listen to her then, but once I moved to Mumbai and started to live alone, I video-called her often, disregarding her Melbourne hours, for her quick hacks. Living alone in places where comfort food is far away, the energy to even cook for yourself dwindles. Sometimes I stockpiled part-made kochuri and singara in the deep freezer.

I’m feeling lucky to witness such a great transformation in the cooking video genre. You made it such an engineer friendly thing. I find maths in everything and I love your quantity definitions. (Though weight is a much more accurate measure than spoons and pinches, density greatly affects flavour. In some places sugar is not of the same density). Also Foodies hut is another favourite channel when it comes to cooking. Its such a pleasant surprise to see you people acknowledging their work. You guys from SF and she is from Sydney. আজ তো পুর্ণিমা। নাড়কোল দিয়ে মুগডাল আর গোবিন্দভোগ চালের খিচুড়ি করেছিলাম; আর কুমড়োর বড়া । যে ভাবে দেখিয়েছিলেন মানে যে যে উপকরণ দিয়ে দেখিয়েছিলেন সেই ভাবেই করেছিলাম ।দারুণ হয়েছিল!!মচমচে।testy.একেবারে ভোগের প্রসাদে যে রকম কুমড়ো ভাজা পাওয়া যায়। ঠিক সেরকম।ধন্যবাদ।
