🇰🇷 5 Best Korean Foods: • Best Korean Food!! HUG...
👕 T-shirts: store.migrationology.com/
🌶 Ghost Chili: amzn.to/3PNTvNQ
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - Probably the most famous of all Korean food is Korean Barbecue, often shere you cook meat at your table and eat it along with side banchan, lettuce leaves, and perilla leaves. Today we’re going on an all beef ultimate Korean bbq tour in Seoul, South Korea.
Joseon-ok 조선옥 (maps.app.goo.gl/Aro2buKAFaAKq...) - We’re beginning this Korean Barbecue tour at one of the oldest and original Korean ribs bbq restaurants, known as Joseon-ok 조선옥. When you think about Korean food bbq, you often think of grilling the meat at your own table - but here they still do it the traditional way, the master griller grills all your meat. It’s basic and tasty and they only serve galbi (Beef short ribs).
Price: 40,000 KRW ($29.95 USD) per plate
Mongtan 몽탄 (maps.app.goo.gl/ZsWCEnrKfxN7n...) - A little trendy and a very popular Korean restaurant is Mongtan, known for their giant bone in beef long ribs and their hay smoked flavor.
Price: 32,000 KRW ($23.96 USD) per portion
Woo Lae Oak 우래옥 (maps.app.goo.gl/i6dtXPF6i2iPx...) - This is one of the best restaurants in Seoul that’s withstood the test of time. They serve naengmyeon cold noodles and Bulgogi (불고기), another traditional form of Korean bbq with thin beef marinated in sweet sauce and grilled to perfection at your table. I loved all the side dishes and condiments to accompany the tender flavorful bulgogi.
Price: 37,000 KRW ($27.70 USD) per portion
Myeongdong Seoseo Galbi 명동서서갈비 (maps.app.goo.gl/k7SbqMuSDGPBz...) - Probably the Korean BBQ that most surprised me was the standing barrel BBQ. This restaurant is from the family of an original old school barrel BBQ, but they have since relocated to Myeongdong area. Again, they specialize in galbi, or beef short ribs and you choose a barrel and eat your meat with their famous fruity dipping sauce. The meat was some of the most affordable in all of Seoul, but it was so good and so tender - I loved it.
Price: 15,000 KRW ($11.23 USD) per portion
Thank you to KTO (Korea Tourism Organization) for sponsoring and making my trip to South Korea happen!

Mark my dude, you are, in my opinion, the greatest KZfaq food channel of all time. No one does it like you sir. You are truly in a class all by yourself. You show nothing but genuine, love, care, compassion, and great respect for every culture around the world. This 🇰🇷 series so far has been fantastic and one of your best ever. I got mad love for 🇰🇷 and their culture. Always have. Their version of fried barbecue chicken and their BBQ is truly on another level. Much respect sir!!

At a Korean BBQ joint, you're not just choosing between beef and pork; you're embarking on a culinary journey where every slice is an opportunity to prove your grilling prowess. And let's not forget the high-stakes game of 'flip it before it becomes a charcoal briquette.' Kidding aside, this has been one of my favorite experience while I was in Korea earlier this year for our TV show!

Mark has evolved from being a foodie to a seasoned food maestro. What I enjoy is that Mike highlights the environment he is in and secondly, his critique is never rushed, one gets a mental meat tour in his detailed description of the cusine. Well done Mark..u have certainly established a formidable and well deserved excellent reputation.

Mark, perhaps you've already tried this - but next time, instead of dipping the meat into the ssam-jang (bean paste) sauce, then chasing it with raw garlic... try eating the meat FIRST, without sauce, then immediately dip the raw garlic into the ssam-jang, and chew all TOGETHER. The garlic with the ssam-jang will create a sort of an instant garlic sauce, that marries with the meat in a magical way :)

Hello, I am a viewer who met me through a blogger. Korea's barbecue culture and history can be traced back to ancient Goguryeo. It can be seen as a barbecue made with soybean paste and soy sauce base seasoning. You can think of these flavors as evolving into Neobiani, a form of Ulsan Eonyang-style bulgogi and tteokgalbi. It evolved like that and reached the Joseon Dynasty, when the popularization of barbecue began. During the Joseon Dynasty, it began with the nobility, a rib meal that nobles gathered to eat while sitting together, and began as a gentleman's restaurant in front of Sungkyunkwan, a university in Joseon. And as time passed, in the 1980s, Korea entered a country with abundant food, and meat consumption increased, leading to the popularization of pork belly and charcoal-grilled ribs. Nowadays, Korean ribs are spreading all over the world. When you travel to Korea, don't just look for bulgogi. Look for charcoal grilled ribs, which are also delicious.
