Ahhhhh Internet cafes. I have fond memories of those in Beijing. I would be out partying, miss the curfew of my college and then just go to the Internet cafe, 网吧,that was literally right across the street from my college. Pay the small fee, learn how to get around the government sensors from the new friends I made, and head out at 6am to get back to my dorm to nap before my 8am class. Ahhhhhh youth. Good times.

i love the ‘korean lesson time’ videos bc they’re very haeppy and xander, and they remind me of twoplustwo since there’s a lot of cultural information (which i love!!!) i think it’s a great combination of what they used to do and where they want to go, love it!!!

Really informative. I like the fact that Haeppy can actually speak Korean. I know in a previous video Xander mentioned that he has tried learning. It always kinda bothers me when I watch KZfaq channels of foreigners in Korea who can’t speak the language after living there for years like eat your kimchi. I feel that the knowledge and perspective you’re trying to get across is deeper because you can speak the language. I thought it was kinda funny when Haeppy gave his Korean lesson on how to pronounce “a” in Korean and Xander keeps mispronouncing it when he says “bang”.

I would have to say I have one more reason for visiting a pc방! As a college student, the WiFi is a lot faster so I have a better chance at getting the classes I want when I sign up in the pc방 at beginning of the semester. If I do it at home, I will have no chance of even getting one class. It’s just too slow. The day of sign up, everyone is there ready to pick their classes. It’s super competitive!

I just want to point out the "Cinderella law" and students having to go home at 10 pm are two different laws. Businesses like hotels, motels, PC bangs, or hagwons are not allowed to accept minors without their guardians from 10 pm to 9 am. The "Cinderella law" has been so controversial because it bans kids from playing games at home.

They are extremely modified whatever they are. might be either a very unique car or they are custom because a lot of them have 6 wheels and a heavy duty chassis and they drive like absolute madmen, the torque must be incredibly high matched with a high speed as they race each other to the crash site and whoever gets there first gets the jobs. I'd love to know more too. Maybe one day we'll be able to do an exposé!

Serious question: how long does shipping take for a hat? Because I'm going to be moving in about a month, (give or take a couple weeks. Honestly this has been an ordeal and I deserve some sort of prize.) And I don't want anything shipped to someone that isn't me. (I mean, I know it's the law to not open up someone else's mail but if I got a package delivered then I would totally open it. Envelopes are just not as fun to open as boxes. And some complete stranger does not deserve my hat.) Sincerely, No, I'm honestly serious. This is why I've put off buying a hat; I'm worried about a wrong address mixup.

It's worth noting that if you're playing "prepaid games", i.e. games that you would usually pay first and then play, the meter on your PC goes down faster. For example, if you paid for 2 hours and you decide to play Diablo III (you would usually have to pay for that game if you're using a private computer, which makes it a "prepaid game"), then you will NOT be able to play for a full 2 hours. The meter would go down faster, so you'd maybe only be able to play for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then, what constitutes a "prepared game?" You would think League of Legends would be a free-to-play game, so the "prepaid games" rule doesn't apply, right? WRONG. You still get benefits and boosts, such as being able to choose all the different characters, exp boosts, etc.. PC bang pays the gaming company for all these boosts, so no, it doesn't count as a free game at all. It's a "prepaid" game. In fact, most of the games installed on the PC bang are just that. The only games that you can pretty much play with full 2 hours ("free games") are the original Starcraft or Diablo II.
