This taxi driver series is as interesting as the high schoolers series because it brings ordinary English people from different walks of life into this Korean culture experience. Although I’m not Korean and this channel is mainly for Koreans to see how others perceive their culture, it is still interesting to me. Some kind of strange feeling of pride even though it’s not my culture being appreciated

영국 “블랙캡” 택시는 일단 굉장히 비싸고 고급 문화에요. 운전사들은 거의 무형 문화재 수준으로 런던의 아주 작은 길까지 머릿속에 다 외우고 있죠. 연예인이나 상류층을 만날 일이 진짜 많을거에요.

The portable KBBQ deserves to be brought out again for these guys! A sit-down restaurant would be great, but imagine the taxi drivers choosing their favourite view of the city they've found while driving and bbq-ing there. London points of interest (their expertise) and KBBQ (KE's expertise)! Love the behind the scenes so much! The last thing I expected to see was Keaton channeling Gollum from LOTR, scarfing down food by himself in the corner lmao

처음엔 사람들이 한국에 대한 호감도가 올라갈 것 같다는 생각이 들었는데 몇년을 보고나니 영국에 대한 내 생각이 바뀌고 있네요. 영국분들이 참 괜찮구나 싶습니다. 내 절친인 동생이 영국 유학 가서 중국인 꺼지라고 꼬마 아이들이 작은 돌멩이 던지고 그 친구의 친구는 버스정류장에서 계란도 맞았다는 말을 듣고 별로 안좋게 봤는데...세상은 다 똑같나 봅니다. 착한분들 나쁜 놈들은 어디에나 있다는 것.

영국 택시기사분들의 한국 간식 후기는 같은 영국인 임에도 서로 다른 입맛과 예상치못한 후기담을 얘기해주셔서, 새로웠던거 같아요. 그리고 다음주 공개될 영상에서 제가 제일 기대하는 Keaton 학생의 행동은 정말 기상천외하네요.또 어떤 맛 평가를 해줄지도 무척 기대되기도 합니다~~~ 영국학생들이 한국에 올 수 있는 날 꼭 함께 했음 하는 응원하는 저의 제 1순위는 Keaton학생 이예요~~~

예전에 어디서 말했던 것 같은데 양갱은 일본 전통 과자예요. 식민지 시대를 거치면서 우리나라에도 정착하게 된 거죠. 원래 옛날 몽골에서 양고기를 푹 고아서 고체처럼 만들어서 들고 다니던 게 일본으로 전래된 것입니다. 그런데 일본 불교에서 살생을 금하던 때가 있었고, 이 때문에 양고기 대신 팥과 설탕을 이용해 만드는 방식으로 변형되어 갔다고 해요. 한국의 전통 과자는 약과처럼 기름에 튀긴 유밀과류 외에도 제사 때 볼 수 있는 다식류, 과일즙에 설탕이나 꿀을 넣어서 졸인 과편류, 대추나 밤을 꿀에 졸여 만든 숙실과류, 생과일이나 식물 뿌리의 모양새를 살려 달게 졸인 정과류, 엿강정류, 유과류 등 생각보다 많답니다. 영국남자 팀에서는 아무래도 구하기가 쉽지 않으니 비교적 현대의 과자들 위주로 소개를 해 주신 것 같아요 :) 궁금하신 분들은 한 번 검색해 보셔도 좋을 것 같아요!
