Korg EMX tutorial: Turn yours into a drum synthesizer

In this video, I demonstrate how to create drum sounds using the synth
parts of the Korg EMX. I make Bass kick, Snare, and hi-hats... These
aren't perfect, but they're something to work with. I end up jamming
later. I would have put text in this, but Adobe Premiere Elements is
pretty much the most awful thing on this planet and Adobe should be
ashamed of creating such a POS.

Very good Video, some theory about drum synthesis and you show how to jam with this beautiful versatile box. The first video i saw actually showing a 'jam workflow' and not just 'how to program a computer'.

You have to make it from scratch. I don’t think it exists.

Already four years later... Time is flying. Well, I decided to go with Cubase, Reason and some SpitfireAudio. Enjoying all the possibilities. Have a great time!

Hi, I have a emx1 but the partmute pad isn't working as a mute, I think that it is set in the step rec mode, someone knows how can I quit the steprec mode? I just want the partmute button work as a mute. I have this machine since last year and it has always worked well. But yesterday partmute button just stoped working. Can someone help me please? I guess I'd try pressing a different button than the "Step Edit" so that you're not in that mode. Have you tried being in "Pattern' mode and then tested the part mute button? What happens when you press the part mute button? You need to hold that button and press a part button (like drum part 1, 2, 3, 4, etc) to mute the parts.

better make this with one synth part dude :) use the pitch and create a automation event :) ( motion sequenz ) so you have more room 4 other sounds :)

... Why would I be posting under a totally different user profile if I was the infamous pink mitten synth-meister? That person is a groovebox genius. I just do stuff with synths and grooveboxes. Totally different. I think most men over the age of 22 have hairy wrists - but maybe what that really means is that deep down, every man with hairy wrists is an infamous pink mitten synth-meister. Think about it.
