This is simply detaching polarizer from LCD and having one on your glass which is one of the essential component of any LCD device. As interesting as it is, it can also be done by attaching a film of polarizer on the screen and on your glass in determined angle. This won't sabotage your LCD.

This reminds me of the time i was at GameStop and they had these special glasses on display that would allow you and a friend to play a game together locally without the bullshit of Split Screen, instead showing the players their own screens on the monitor through the glasses, which you could switch between which screen you wanted to see whether it be player 1 or player 2.

This is the best idea if you are alone at home, and if someone walks in, they are gonna think you are insane. But you also need the polariser glasses all the time to use you pc or your out of luck. I'm gonna do this when I have a spare Monitor/Laptop.
