Basically a refined KSC35 with a headband. If you have been happy with many of the other Koss Stereophones you will definitely like these! Purchase at - koss.com/

@@eriklscott64 yeah, I’m incredibly grateful the internet allows us to connect with people where we otherwise couldn’t. I’ve had long periods of isolation due to having to support my parents, so being able to still interact with people is a God send. I avoid non-anonymous social media like the plague these days, far too stressful for me (and often just incredibly dispiriting). But Reddit’s a brilliant platform if you’ve heard of that? Let’s you stay completely anonymous, you can find a forum for absolutely anything and you can just talk with like-minded people about anything and everything =) And thank you, yeah I have (and am still) learning to be more and more grateful for what I have. I’ve taken things for granted in the past and really regret it. Again, I hope you’re doing well Eric and i hope your Christmas is a good one =)

I have the Koss ksc35(sporta pro) and ksc75. The ksc75 is by far my favorite. It has a very exciting and energetic sound that works well with rock/pop music and has nice clear highs. They are even good enough for tracking footsteps in video games. I like them more than the dt990, akg k240, fischer fa-011, alessandro ms-1, audio technica ad-a700, and akg k271 that I used to have.

I agree. I really enjoy my KSC75 just don't care for the ear clips. I ordered the headband mod off ebay for them, see if its any good.

@@iowaudioreviews So how'd it go? It's been two months already!
@iowaudioreviews2 жыл бұрын
These do sound good as many other Koss offerings maybe better for some people. But after a few months of use I can't stand the thin wire head band, its not comfortable for me and putting my KPH30i back on is SO much better. So the KPH30i are back as my daily driver and favorite Koss stereophone. My wife was testing with me and she agreed, she prefers her KPH30i Clear over the KPH40 mostly in favor of comfort she didn't notice a difference in fidelity really, not enough to make up for comfort.

Throw the headband in the TRASH. Replace with KSC75 ear clips. YES…I heard your comment on the clips. PLEASE LISTEN…… You have to adjust the ear clips. Use force! Yes. Muscle them to a point where they rest easy on your ears. That’s what people miss about the ear clips. You have to adjust them. With some elbow grease. They won’t break. Then…. Use a clip to attach to your shirt. This alleviates and completely removes the weight of the dongles pulling on the headphones. Bliss…..

ZFold3 to Hidizs S9 Pro DAC AMP DONGLE To KPH40 Sounds So Nice
@denislemieux7294 Жыл бұрын
@Iowa Great vid. My question is… Do all of these different dongles, cables, adapters etc. really make a difference in the sound? I bought a dongle for my 40s. Koss’s lightening utility cord is heavy and clumsy with the button remote on the cord.

I would be curious to see how the Sound Blaster dongle would do against the Hidiz S9 Pro dongle.

I just ordered two KPH30i. But if 40 is available at local store. I will order two. I am going to mod one KPH30i. Remove original pads and add the Grado pads. I wonder how it will sound on my Cayin tube amplifier. It did wonders for my Koss KSC75. The sound opens up even more and really gives a out of head experience.
@markweiss5913 Жыл бұрын
Please listen to the modded 30i’s with the foam intact. You might find that you don’t need to remove the original pads because once you do it it’s hard to go back

Hello, Could you tell me if you know there is a different between Yaxi foam pads and Koss replacement foam pads? Are Yaxi pads really that good? Or, are Koss replacement foam pads no less than the Yaxi pads? Thank you!
@iowaudioreviews Жыл бұрын
If I remember right the Yaxi are a bit thicker and slighter softer. And of course all the colors to pick from. I'm fine with the stock pads so I've never bothered to change them. But yes the Yaxi are a slightly higher quality foam pad.

Check if the 30's drivers are removable and if they fit on headband of the 40's..
@iowaudioreviews2 жыл бұрын
They don't. If they were interchangeable I'd put the 40s drivers on the 30 headband. I don't worry to much though the 40 aren't much improvement over the 30 if any. Probably comes down to preference really. I think Z Reviews over hyped them as usual.

So you're saying the KPH40 sounds better than the KTXPro1?
@TheHulksMistress Жыл бұрын
Curious about this myself. Just ordered some KPH40 and already have KTXPRO1 so curious as to whether it'll be an upgrade or not. Did you happen to get some KPH40?
@outofvideos Жыл бұрын
@@TheHulksMistress Every modular Koss headphone is unique and collectible in it's own way. The KPH40 is better than the KTXPRO1 in every way. You can even take off the speakers of the KPH40 and put other Koss versions on (KSC75/PP, etc).
@TheHulksMistress Жыл бұрын
@@outofvideos well timed, I’m trying out my KPH40X on my tv right now lol. Yeah they are great, I far prefer them to my KTXPRO1. The bass is nuts for such unassuming headphones. I love the tuning too, I far prefer them to the Porta Pro Weird question but do you happen to have any idea how sturdy the joints are that the drivers attach onto? Because I like these on the 75 ear clips too but don’t want to break the ball joint
@outofvideos Жыл бұрын
@@TheHulksMistress Not very sturdy joints. Hold the back black plastic and pull the speakers off.

Your solution doesn’t truly replace the extra cables you can buy. The extra cables have the control inputs.
@livinlifetothefullest2750 Жыл бұрын
The adjuster on my left failed so now it doesn't have a firm lock. Why on earth have a super long headphone jack as solid and as long as a match stick makes me fearful of snapping it like a twig would angle socket be much better. Sound is OK the usual bass first but fine but pristine treble is compromised. They're OK but manufacturing could have been better. EDIT: now the plastic hinge on the outside which holds each speaker the glue can fail resulting it popping away from the metal headband. it happened to one ear now today the other started which leaves wobly. you can snap it back it but over time it pops out again. for me to now have to use some glue better than Koss used to make these hold just represents a shocking quality let down to what mostly is a good not super great product.
