I have wanted to make an eight sided laftehus for many years. Is this type of corner joint windproof? Thanks for posting this film. I have tried a version of the Raulandslaft with cheeks, but the inside corner is really too tight to be able to mark clearly. It is a bit windy here for sinklaft. Sorry I use the Norwegian names, I don't know any others.

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l7Rkarl-07jHXYk.html You can see a variation of a wind lock on a dovetail corner in this video. Works just as well on a lap joint (straight corner). Perhaps in would work on hexagonal/octagonal shapes.
